About
Bonnie Brook Golf Course, known amongst locals as simply "The Brook," is one of the most popular public courses on the North Shore. It has even been ranked as one of the top 50 public golf courses in the Chicagoland area. Designed in 1926 by James Foulis, the course has a classic feel to it with challenges that have withstood the test of time. The layout sprawls across a scenic natural landscape accented with gently rolling hills, tall native grasses, and sparkling lakes. The north branch of the Waukegan River also meanders through part of the golf course. The Bonnie Brook layout offers enough of a challenge for advanced players with narrow, tree-lined fairways and subtly tricky undulations throughout the spacious greens, but it is a round that is player friendly enough for any skill level to enjoy.

What an awesome course !!!!! Staff was friendly . THe course is challenging for all golfers. The drive is worth it for a round. If I live closer I would play this course twice a week.

Greens were rolling fast but only sometimes true. Buckers were also a little rocky. Overall great day and great course!

Fun and challenging golf course
We love this course. The course is in excellent condition; kudos to the ground crew. The greens are fast and tricky. Each holes has each own challenge.. definitely challenges you to be a better golfer.

Helpful staff, difficult greens
We play Bonnie Brook a few times a year and always enjoy it. On this occasion, we were stuck in traffic on the tollway and called to beg forgiveness for running late. The staff was wonderful, happy to move our tee time back a bit or do anything to accommodate us. The course is still a favorite, with an interesting variety of holes, and it’s always in good condition. The greens are fast, and you absolutely must stay below the hole, which almost always means you want to be short of the flag. The clubhouse is ordinary, but so what.

Great condition
The greens were perfect. Grass was green no dead spots or ground under repair. Best condition of anything I’ve play so far this year.
