About
Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. The entire course features water on 17 holes and 77 strategically placed bunkers. The course is divided into three nine-hole courses that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The club opened in 1927 but two of the golf courses, South and East, were renovated in 2011, followed by the West nine a year after. The golf courses are all equally challenging but they each have a unique character. The West/East Course starts with the shortest nine but it also has one of the most intimidating water holes, the par-3 seventh, which has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water. With such a challenging variety of courses, it is not hard to imagine why Arrowhead G.C. is considered one of the best municipal golf courses in the Chicago area.

Public course, private feel, great value, fast greens!
I took up golf about 6 years ago and arrowhead was one of the first courses I ever played. It was a good and bad decision. Good because it gave me insight on how beautiful golf courses can be, bad because it set the bar so high for all the other courses I played after that. I would always compare to arrowhead and would rarely be impressed with the other courses I was playing.
6 years later arrowhead is still in the top 5 of my public course list in Illinois. Great value, Fast (sometimes diabolical based on pin position) greens, great course conditions, smart and fun layout, a friendly staff, and great food make me always want to play arrowhead.
Arrowhead, please don’t change. Kudos.
great condition despite recent rains
course is difficult but fair, some long par fours and several holes with trouble on both sides!....aim carefully. greens were in great condition. Fairways and tee boxes were good, rough was heavy.
Punched greens
Love the course but I would have liked to been told beforehand, so I can decide if I want to play with the aerated greens.

Great day for golf and Arrowhead was PRIMO ! Everything was in top shape
Rude employees
Decent course and layout, probably overpriced. The biggest factor for the rating is experiencing a disrespectful employee who also did not care that he was acting disrespectfully. There are much better options and employees like this tend to ruin the whole golfing experience.
