About
Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. The entire course features water on 17 holes and 77 strategically placed bunkers. The course is divided into three nine-hole courses that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The club opened in 1927 but two of the golf courses, South and East, were renovated in 2011, followed by the West nine a year after. The golf courses are all equally challenging but they each have a unique character. The West/East Course starts with the shortest nine but it also has one of the most intimidating water holes, the par-3 seventh, which has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water. With such a challenging variety of courses, it is not hard to imagine why Arrowhead G.C. is considered one of the best municipal golf courses in the Chicago area.

Greens were very fast as the grass is still dormant!
Overpriced
Arrowhead golf course is a great looking golf course as you see it from the outside. Playing it is a different thing in my opinion
They have 3-9 hole courses.We played the East-South courses not the West. On the East course they have 2 par 5’s at less then 450 yards and a par 3(#4) they set the pin in a make it or it’s rolling down farther then when you putted from. To bad the hole is over a water hazard and into a north wind that made it a good looking hole. The south course had a better layout of holes with some tight fairways and a lot of elevation.
I have played much better courses for half the price. Would I play here again? Sure if someone paid for it.
Great Course in Chicagoland Area
Arrowhead is like a home course to my buddies and I. Tend to play the Course several times a month. Greens are fast and true! Was very impressed by the greens as they would equivalent several Private Club's in the Suburbs of Chicago.

Fall play
Course was in great shape considering it was Nov 6th. East course very challenging. Staff, as always, extremely polite and helpful.
Fast difficult greens
Great layout that demands good course management and accuracy. Fast, sloped greens that require concentration and deft touch. Excellent conditions all around. $78 with cart is a bargain for a course of this quality, but normal rates may be higher.
Great Course with Excellent Conditions
Great course in the Chicago area. Fun layout with excellent conditions. White fluffy sand. Greens were firm and fast. Would highly recommend!
Pleasantly surprised
This course was average at best years ago, played it for the 1st time since renovations. Very nice, make time to eat there also.
Tremendous Value
Played nearly all the public and private tracks around the Chicago land area. I would say this is in the top 3 values in the area. Played the south/east combo. Every shot in the bag comes out at some point during the round. The greens, bunkers, and the overall course condition were stellar. This is a must play course.
Best shape ever
This course is in the best shape I can remember. Greens, tees & fairways are in phenomenal shape
