West/East at Arrowhead Golf Club
About
Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. The entire course features water on 17 holes and 77 strategically placed bunkers. The course is divided into three nine-hole courses that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The club opened in 1927 but two of the golf courses, South and East, were renovated in 2011, followed by the West nine a year after. The golf courses are all equally challenging but they each have a unique character. The West/East Course starts with the shortest nine but it also has one of the most intimidating water holes, the par-3 seventh, which has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water. With such a challenging variety of courses, it is not hard to imagine why Arrowhead G.C. is considered one of the best municipal golf courses in the Chicago area.

Great Early Spring Round
Very friendly and accommodating staff. For an early spring round, the course was in great shape. I would definitely come back to Arrowhead. Great clubhouse. Very enjoyable day.
Can’t believe it took me this long to play here
What can I say, just love this course. First thing you notice from looking out is how well manicured it is. Hole after hole is a a treat. Great, this along with Preserve at Oak Meadows are two I will definitely add to my regular rotation of courses.
Quality track.
Was pleased with the quality of the course. Greens were quick but needed players to repair ball marks. Good layout, plenty challenging. Only played 9 on the West course..
Public course with a country club feel
I am a little conflicted reviewing this course.. Mainly because I’m afraid of making it more popular than it already is. I try from May through October to play a different course every week and how this flew under my radar for this long is inexplicable. This is without question my Most enjoyable experience this golf season. I highly recommend it and if you have the opportunity by all means play this course.
Feels like a private club
Gorgeous, very well maintained 27 hole course. My favorite place to play 18 and then enjoy the restaurant at the clubhouse.
Arrowhead West Course
Great Golf Course. Challenging holes. Made you think about nearly every shot. Great conditions. Love playing here!!
Stay for beer & burger
Fun, mostly challenging layout. Far above average course conditions. Great clubhouse, food, beverages etc. great value with the hot deal we had. A little pricy at full price.
Solid Public course
Great course layout. Nice to have 27 holes, which offers repeat golfers some variety.
Well maintained, especially fairways and greens. Greens run faster than other area public courses, so if you're a first timer at Arrowhead be forewarned.
Driving range, practice putting green, and practice sand traps available. All higher quality than most courses in area. That said, practice green needed to be swept of tree debris when I was there.
Clubhouse one of the best of public courses in western suburbs.
Price/value is appropriate for those who want a better.than average public course without dropping a lot of money for a round.
I hope you hit em long and straight!
Pretty, generally fun layout. Good conditions. Friendly staff. Clubhouse, restaurant and bar all first rate. A little pricey, but worth any hot deal price.
Arrowhead...a private club at park district prices!
After all the rain we had, it still was in fabulous shape.
Quality establishment
Only played here a few times (pricey), but have enjoyed them all. Just wish Arrowhead would allow singles to book thru GolfNow. If so, I'd play more. Took my wife out for #60, so I told her I'd take her somewhere nice. She liked it, but the soaked fairways cost her score to add up.
To much $$ !!!
It's the 2nd week into October , little pricey at this time of the year...
