Water's Edge Golf Club

It is impossible to get a hold of anybody besides automation. I was unable to play my round today. I was wondering if I may get a rain check due to the rain that fell. My reservation number is 336043971. Maybe a human can respond

Played here on Saturday 7/18 and took over 5.5 hours. Course is in good condition but greens were a bit long and slow for July. Overall still an ok value but need to speed up play and not change $16 a person for carts.

The process was difficult because there seemed to be a miscommunication between the course and Golf Now. They didn’t have our reservation in the system and the guy at the club house was not very friendly. It is unfortunate because the course was great. We had to get a rain check after golfing 9 holes and the guy in the club house could not seem to do the correct math on the half off rain check.

The course is very expensive for the conditions. Fairways are pretty narrow and course needs some upkeep. It is surrounded by many trees so there are leaves everywhere. Balls on the fairway or right off of it we’re lost many times and there was leaves on the greens making it hard to putt. The last few holes is surrounded by public walkways and a park; could be nerve wrecking at times and be very cautious while hitting. Overall, decent course but fees and conditions will make me choose other courses over this one.

The course was well watered and in pristine condition

The Course was fine. The Price of a round of golf does not include a cart. The cart fees are not listed. The note says carts are available at the course. Cart fees are $14.00 a person. Making a round of golf $52.00. This is a lot to pay for the caliber of course offered.

I returned to Water's Edge for the first time in a few years (of not golfing). The course was as challenging as I recalled and cheaper than ever, but there are a couple changes. First, there's no longer GPS in the carts. Although I can normally work without GPS just fine, there were very few on-course yardage markers beyond seemingly temporary plastic stakes at 100/150/200. The paucity of markers was most troublesome at the Par 3s. Second, perhaps due to altered spring maintenance from the IL COVID restrictions, several of the marsh areas that normally contribute to the nice aesthetic were dry and chopped down, especially on the front 9, so the course didn't look it's best. Third, we were delayed by a 6-some that included one cart with 3 golfers! Nonetheless, I continue to like Water's Edge and found the $35 greens fees a bargain in Chicagoland.

Course was in good shape but the greens need some work (different types of grasses creeping over each other). Not a lot of variation on most holes. Very few hazards and greens are very flat (read : easy to putt). Most par 4's are straightaways and mostly same length. If you can drive the ball well and have a good approach game from 150-100 yards out, you'll do fine here. If you hit the greens in regulation, almost every green can be a two-putt, even 30-40 yards away from the pin. Will play here again.

Every time we golf there the staff is amazing. From the club house to the grounds crew, food staff to drink cart. It’s country club service at a public course.

The course was in great shape, especially the greens. A great value for the dollar!

Rough is too high. No bathroom facilities or water on course

The course was in very good condition, particularly the greens. The layout has nice variety and is a challenge for all levels of player. There are a lot of trees in play, so errant shots are penalized and you can lose a lot of golf balls on a bad day, but good shots are rewarded and it never seemed too daunting or unfair. We weren’t able to utilize it, but there is a nice driving range too. It’s a fantastic value for the price and I will definitely be back!
