We had played 36 holes at Warren the day before, so I wasn't sure what to expect at Blackthorn, but boy it didn't disappoint. I actually think the greens were faster and smoother at Blackthorn over Warren. Layout was fun and fair. I highly recommend this track, its in perfect shape right now

Have played here many times. Have enjoyed it so much that I brought my golf league group here the last 2yrs. This past week was terrible.

I brought 22 golfers to Blackthorn on Aug 8,2021 I was in the 3rd group off Sunday am. After the 3rd hole our group was rudely told to pick up the pace. I informed the ranger we were following a three some and was told “I don’t care”. Then continued to follow us on the next hole. He also kept coming by the rest of the front nine. Course policy is play should be completed in 4 hours 15 minutes. We were well ahead of pace of play we walked off number 9 in 1 hour and 50 minutes.

And finished in 4 hours.

After talking with other golfers in my group I was informed that this same ranger went to everyone of our groups and told them to speed up, to include picking up your ball and move to next hole. This ranger used foul language when talking to us and even told one of our golfers “we don’t need your business “ after he was informed how many golfers we brought out.

I have never been treated so rudely and disrespectful at any business.

Apparently Blackthorn golf course thinks they’re the only course around. I will be taking my group elsewhere.

Awesome course. Beautiful shape, fast greens, generous fairways. Very well kept. Will definitely return, it’s worth the long drive. Only disappointment was that I was under the impression they had a restaurant in the clubhouse. Not so, only a bar with brats or dogs. Definitely not a deal breaker.

A bit hot today, but Blackthorn never disappoints! Greens are fast and course always in great shape. Nice comfortable carts with GPS very nice too. We are going back with friends later this week too! Today we saw a deer and other times we’ve see. Wild Turkeys.

Beautiful, well kept course. Very challenging- greens were like glass. Will definitely play there again

Challenging course in beautiful shape.

Helpful staff May feel rushed if you are a group of 4 & a twosome is playing behind you. Plan ahead since tee times fill up quickly.

Loved the layout. Course in great shape. Greens were in excellent condition!

Showed up 30 minutes early to warm up. Pro was more interested in getting us tees off due to a noon outing. No offer to practice putting, chipping or practice balls.

At the turn, no food, no cooled beverages. Not soft drinks, or beer.

Staff not interested in selling us anything and was rude.

Would surely play again if they acted like they wanted or needed our business.

The course is in great shape. Greens run fast and roll well. Challenging without being too penal. Love the course.

We got a hot deal so it was well worth the $50, but the layout I found a tad lackluster. Even when I hit bad shots I likely found it, which isn’t bad IMO, just less challenging. Greens were decently tough with the pin placement we saw.

Blackthorn has always been my favorite course in the area. The course is always in great condition with never any damage on the fairways/greens/etc. it is a joy as there is a wide variety of hole types with not much water to navigate around.

Course was in great conditions. Greens were fast and true. Great value at $50 on Golf Now. Will definitely be back.
