Worth the Trip
I enjoy the older courses built in the gilded period. Nice layout with consistent greens.
Some of the fairway's were bumpy but great value!
Did a replay for $15.00 can't beat that. 36 holes for $40.00.
Always a great time at the Beach!
Beechwood is always a great course. With the lack of rain we have had some spots were very hard and getting a tee in the ground was near impossible in some spots. The greens as always were impeccable. The only thing that could make this place any better would be to have a place to eat on site where you can enjoy food and beverage after your round. If that's all you need I would say your doing pretty good.
Great golf now value
Somewhat challenging with the trees. Good round of golf. Will be back
Beechwood golf course
Each hole presents a different challenge. There are many mature trees thru out the course. If you like fast greens, you won't be disappointed.
Day at beechwood
Course was in great condition. What a bargain for a municipal course of this quality. Greens we re rolling great.
Maybe Just Good Timing
I played this course twice in this week and maybe I'm just pleased with my game, but the course played great. Good conditions on all fairways and greens even though there was a good amount of rain this week. Course is long but mostly a creative layout. Enjoyed playing there considering the very fair rates I've gotten.
Great Day at Beechwood
Another great day at Beechwood. The staff & the golf professional, Kyle, all where great.
Course & greens where in excellent shape.
I would recommend and rate this course & staff in the top 10% of courses in the area. Especially for value that they offer on a daily basis.
Great Deal. Great Staff
We got a great deal on a tee time. The staff was very kind and friendly. He got us out on the course the best way possible considering there was an outing going on at that time. Very happy.
nice outing with friends
Had a great time at Beechwood GC. Would highly recommend this course if you want to enjoy a nice outing with no hassles.
Very cold day..
Temps were in the 30s but course in fabulous shape. I've always liked this course!
It's a great course
Had a great time. Always do. Play this course most of the season
Great value
Beechwood is a long tree lined course that is consistently in great shape. Even this late in the fall the green are fast and in great shape. LaPorte is lucky to have such a fine municipal course.
Oldie and kind of a goodie
Old course. The white tees were long at 6300 yards by average standards so that made it a challenging round. The fairways left a little to be disired and if not for all the rain they would be very hard. As it was they were still a bit hard and we have had a lot of rain this summer. Lots of rolling fairways and some tight shots with trees as a lot of older courses always have. Very good value for the money with Golf Now price. Wasn't busy when I played but if you get behind a slow foursome with some age on them then you can expect it to pay slow especially since it is a lot longer then most courses. I probably wouldn't choose to play here unless I got a good value again because all else being equal on cost of play some other courses are in better shape.
If you need a cheap fix this will work in a pinch
This is an average muni course. When we arrived the gentleman behind the counter sent right out which was nice until we caught a very very slow 4-some. I think they might have been all first timers as we stayed behind them for a couple of holes (35 minutes per hole). They did not wave us through so we jumped a hole in front of them. After that it was fine but it was obvious that other golfers that played earlier in the day did not respect the course. Ball marks not even attempted to be repaired, sand traps were not raked. Maybe we just caught the course on a bad day as the layout of the course is not bad. It is a typical old style course and for the price we paid through golf now was very reasonable ($25).
Great Fun
What a great place to play, you can walk it or ride. Opition is all yours. Golf pro is making improvements every year. Enjoyable golf everyday!!
Great course
Great , well maintained course. I would definitely recommend this course to any golfer.
The golf course is named for a tree: nuff said
Better stay in the fairway! You will encounter mini forests on almost every hole if your tee shots are errant.
I am a senior woman, there were maybe 2 holes that the forward tees were more than a couple yard advantage. That makes it tough to compete when you are playing with your son and husband.
Great course for this area
Fun, yet difficult course to play. Went on a Friday and the pacing was still good. I wish all courses would offer food that vegetarians could eat and then I'd be a lot happier, but none that I know of do! Overall great time, I'd recommend to any and everyone!
Playability
I like the challenging nature of the course and yet it is very playable.. The par 3's are manageable but tough.. Par 5's are scorable.. Par 4's have a good mixture of toughness and scorabilty
