The Course at Aberdeen

Course provides a mix of all... forcing you to make certain shots to remain in play. elevation changes force you to think more than just distance on each shot. It is not a grip n' rip driver every par 4 and 5. Greens were in decent condition for a public course, would like to see more people fix ball marks. Some holes were dog legs, more advice on these tee shots would be helpful (especially on back nine). I will play again!

Pace of play on a Wednesday afternoon was just about 4 hours. However an impatient guy and his girlfriend decided to move from hole 15 to the 18th tee box in front of us. When asked if they were lost or on the wrong hole the guy got upset and challenged us to a fight while holding his driver. That should never happen anywhere much less on a golf course. In my 35 years of playing golf I have never seen or encountered anything like this and hope to never again. I won’t ever go back to The Course at Aberdeen their clientele and lack of a ranger have given me an experience I will never forget!!

This was a beautiful, mature course with great fairways. The tee boxes and sandtraps were in need of maintenance, but during COVID crisis was understandable.

The back nine is more difficult than the front with some "Gimmicky" holes in between.....blind drives with trees in the way and a marshland that blocks your view to even attempt to see where your approach shot landed. Bring extra balls!!

But otherwise, it's a fun course and we'd play again if in the area.

Very beautiful course. Very poor maintenance on greens, tee boxes, fairway divots, and bunkers. Bunkers are virtually unplayable. Full of rocks and cheap sand.

The course was in beautiful condition besides one hole that I believe may have been flooded this year. Besides that hole the course was in great shape. Challenging course for average golfers that shoot in the 90s usually. Very unforgiving if you make even the slightest mistake sometimes. But a fun course to play nonetheless!

Aberdeen masquerades as a high quality golf Club, with top tier amenities, and a championship quality course. The staff act like they work for a Royal golf club when in reality the club plays to the quality of the local public courses. I enjoy the fact that most of the holes are longer and it plays more difficult with strategic placement of fairway and green side bunkers. The fairways are in decent condition depending on the hole. Most of the greens are pockmarked with divots and one can see almost as much brown as green on lots of the tee boxes. To be fair it is priced very well for the quality of course and I do think anyone that plays here will have an enjoyable round.

Conditions were poor at best. Our 4th didn't show, they charged us for him anyway( prepaid). Staff wasn't very friendly, granted they were probably stressed from Covid restrictions . Also could be the fearless leadership of their tool of a gm, Ron.... Left my range finder there, which they have, and even though I live an hour and a half away he will not send it nor even discuss it with me because apparently he's not sure it's mine. I even offered to pay the shipping................. Regardless of his poor customer service skills, the corse was still in poor condition

This is not only the best golf course in Valparaiso, Indiana, but the entire staff was friendly and welcoming.

The course was in great shape, and I cannot wait to play it again.

I drive farther to come out to Aberdeen because it really is a beautiful course. If I can get a good deal. I will choose Aberdeen every time.There is only 1 hole that is not pristine on this course (sorry, I don´t remember the hole #). The starter was a very friendly guy, and talked with us before our tee time as were the staff in the clubhouse. It is worth the drive to golf this course in my opinion.

Had a great time playing here again today, course is in good shape and great value for the price point. Not long but some mature trees, tight fairways, and elevation changes, can lead to a challenging round. Not crowded

Staff is great, I left my Rangefinder in cart and was assisted by Missy getting it back. Nice patio for a Sarsaparilla after your round.

Enjoyable day we will be back.
