Last 2 times played here in past 2 years conditions not great, rough so high almost unplayable if you can find your ball. Course used to always be amazing. Not sure what happened.

Seemed a little behind on upkeep
Had high hopes for this course considering its history. The rough was so high we lost several balls in the first cut. Found tons of balls others had lost in the first cut.
The signage and facility is fairly run down. Great layout but if you have any balls outside of fairway you’ve prob lost your ball. Extremely fast greens. Hitting out of first cut rough was almost impossible since grass was 6-8" deep.

Dye-ing to play
Kearney is a challenging second shot golf course. The layout is fairly wide open from the tee, The greens are slick with a lot of undulations. I am a fairly good putter and I had three putt and a four putt.
Ball marks were really bad. A few holes on the back clearly have irrigation issues as there were a few swamps on a couple fairways.

Greens a little bumpy
Always a good time at Kearney Hills. It’s the best public course in Lexington, in my opinion. The greens are a little bumpy and have been for most of this year. They don’t have it in quite as good of shape as they typically do, but it’s still a good golf course.
