Great course
I liked the course layout, but a number of the holes require you to hit straight drives or you are in the trees or out of bounds. Greens, fairways and traps were in great condition. It was an hour drive to get there, but I definitely be going back again.
Sunday golf
The tee boxes need work and the back nine greens weeny in the best shape !!

The course was in great shape and the pace of play was excellent.
very nice course
I have played this course since it opened, it just gets better, the course has continued to improve. The fairways are zoysia grass and are really plush, the ball just sits perked on it. the rough was bluegrass and was a little worn after this hot summer. The greens are in perfect shape. The tees were a little worn from the long hot summer as well, but there are many tees, one for any players game. This is a gem of a course. The carts are very nice with gps on them with accurate yardage. One would have to look hard to find a course in better condition.

the new grass is great,course filled in nicely very enjoyable. only bad note gps doesn't have the nines correct, front is back and back is front
Eagle trace
Super nice fairways and greens , there are homes around the golf course but none to close. Three holes were car path only but that was understandable considering a lot of rain. Very scenic would definitely play again.
Very nice
Fairways and greens very nice. Layout is top notch. The tee boxes are a little scruffy in spots but that is why they make tees. Worth the drive from Lexington

Surprisingly Plush
We had 't played Eagle Trace in over five years and yesterday the course was surprisingly plush. The tee boxes the fairways and the greens are in in "big time" great shape. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We never had to wait on the next shot, pace of play was good, as well. To top it off, they had excellent hot dogs at the turn!
Hope to get to play there again in the future.
Course was really wet but still in great shape
They got over an inch of rain the night before but the course was very playable. Greens were good, fairways too just a little high due to not able to get mowers out on the course. I will definitely go back on a dryer day because I think this is a great course.

We were told the tees needed work and they did. Over all course was good value for money. Yes we will go back.
Good but slow
Great course, my first time ever playing. Just make sure you don't go out there around 4pm-6pm, got behind the University and high school golf team. 18 holes took us about 4.5-5 hours.
Nice Layout
I liked the layout and the greens were true. Teeing ground and rough were a bit untidy. The rough was high and uneven so we lost some balls. The fairways were ok, not great but playable for sure.
Best course in eastern Kentucky
No way you will ever be disappointed with this fantastic course.
Review of Eagle Trace Golf Course
It's a very good course with tight fairways. Must keep it in the fairway from the tee. I had success on Par 3s but struggled with certain Par 4/5 if I was not in the fairway from the drive. (Sounds like every course) but this course was definitely tricky because of the trees with the narrow fairways with trees all along the fairway.
Good course, tight fairways
Great course, just make sure you hit the fairway, otherwise you have broken a window or lost your ball.
