Good course for the money
Played 18 holes. Course was in Good condition considering the heat & rain issues we've had. Got electric carts ++++, friendly staff and beer.
A very enjoyable round
It is a very scenic course with a nice layout. It was definitely one if my more enjoyable rounds this year!

Nice
Due to the weather this year fairways was not the best, greens were very nice. I use to golf here 20 years ago, I think they expanded the yardage because it seems like my ball just doesn't go as far (LOL) but I liked it then and I like it know . Very nice setup you got to try it ‼️

Good practice
Some challenging layouts. Greens rough. Very narrow access road to course. Tee boxes in poor shape.

Needs a lot of work
A lot of fairways were burned or diseased Greens the same. Bunkers not maintained. Crab grass heaven. Still one of the most scenic courses around.

Conditions could have been better
Lots of elevation change. Tough if you don't play this course regularly.
Course could have been in better condition. It was hard to tell what was fairway sometimes. Recent wet weather my have put them behind in maintenance.

Hickory sticks
Very nice course, it is kept nice and the greens are very good. A little slow play due to the amount of golfers that were out that day.

Don't play after rain
The "cart path only" on this hilly course was disappointing when we got to the course. The course doesn't drain well - had a hard rain the night before. Tee boxes weren't cut; greens were OK; slow play. They paired us up with another 2-some which we weren't thrilled about.

Good layout, fairly short
This course has a nice layout. It is a relatively hilly course where you still have plenty of flat lies. Playing from the gold tees, there were plenty risk/reward shots off the tee on some shorter par 4s. Finished the round in under 2 hours playing alone.

Scenic Course
Weekend spent in Cincinnati. Looked for a good course within 30 minutes or so. Found this very unique gem on GolfNow! Absolutely loved it!! Set in the middle of nowhere, but easy to get to. Not far from the UC campus. ... peaceful and very scenic. Several of the holes will "wow" you as you step to the tee. Greens, tees, and fairways were in excellent shape! Next time I'm in the area, I'd like to play this course again. Challenging, but fair. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend you give it a try!

Great Course Layout
I love this course. Not super long but the hole designs are unique and challenging. Lots of elevation changes and obstacles. Only issue we had was that we teed off so early we had to play the first hole in the fog. So maybe just book tee times at 8:30 or later and you'll be good.

Solid all around course
Really enjoy this course. It has a little bit of everything. Uphill, Downhill, left, right, water, short and long par 3's. It's surrounded by woods, yet still has many very open holes. It's not a course that will blow you away, it's just more of a solid-all around course. I have been golfing here for years and still can honestly say the staff is about as unfriendly as it gets... but I don't let it bother me, go out and have a good round.

Great little course
Great course for the money with friendly staff. Short but challenging. Some great views up on the hills. Always a good time. A hidden gem.

Great Condition Hilly course
The course was in great condition. I saw no brown spots on the greens and fairways. The rough was good as well but some thick and uneven spots. I didn't really like the layout. Some tee shots would be 30-40 yards above your landing spot.

Good course for the $
Hickory Sticks is a good course for the money. It had some challenging holes and pin placements. Our group was cruising right along because there wasn't much traffic on the course when we teed off, but as we made the turn we ran into a foursome that slowed us down quite a bit. They let us play through since there was only 2 of us, but I don't see how they got ahead of us. Just a pet peeve of mine to start on the back when groups are about to make the turn. Overall a good course and very friendly staff. we will be back.

Great value for a great course
Any round I play at Hickory Sticks is always an enjoyable one. I try to play every Tuesday afternoon, typically through a hot deal. From the friendliness of the clubhouse staff to the challenge and quality of the course, Hickory Sticks has become my ‘go to’ course. I would recommend this course to golfers of any caliber. Enjoy!

First time playing
Very well kept course. It was challenging but not too bad. First course I have played this year where it was maintained and the greens were clean.

Course in great off season shape
Christmas eve round, a lot of rain lately, so little to no roll. Greens in good shape, putt true and hold good shots. Don't let the short yardage of the course fool you, the elevation changes and lush grass make it play longer.

Poor Shape
This course started going downhill last year. Tee boxes were really chewed up. Fairways also in poor shape, on some it was hard to even tell what was fairway.
The greens were ok, except for all of the ball marks that had not been fixed. This is not the courses fault, but the inconsiderate golfers. We have no plans of returning to this course.

Good course, rough shape
Late in the year, course is pretty tough as far as condition goes. Usually enjoy playing here throughout the year especially for the prices. Challenging course somewhat, would recommended to anyone to try this place at least once. Just earlier in the season due to conditions later on in the year.
