Swan Point Yacht & Country Club
About
Situated along the shores of the Potomac River in southern Maryland, Swan Point Country Club has been ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in the state. Golfers who enjoy playing in the Carolinas will feel right at home on this course. Water or marshland comes into play on 12 holes and there is an abundance of pine trees. The course is also home to a variety of wildlife including osprey, bald eagles, and deer. In addition to the water, strategically placed bunkers add another challenging element to the golf course. The par-5 fourth hole is considered the signature, mostly due to the challenging island green. Proper club selection is key in order to maneuver past the lake that runs along the entire left side of the fairway. The hole is especially hard on windy days.

great layout and playability for all levels
I love this golf course but currently not up to standards as I have come to expect. Tee boxes & some of the bunkers in poor shape. A few greens were rough also. Needs some TLC!
Great day of golf
Course in good condition greens and fairways in good shape. Enjoyable day
Swan Point is friendly and beautiful
Located on the shore of the Potomac. Swan Point offers challenging golf in a breathtaking natural environment. The staff is friendly and the course is well maintained. Excellent dining facilities make it perfect for a company tournament or a group outing.
Wet and Soggiy
We played on Presidents Day and it was 50 +- and misty. The course layout is great but it was very soggy. The area has received 6' of rain in the last 2 weeks. For those kind of conditions and the Bermuda being dormant the course was is pretty good shape. The pace of play was perfect, we we the only people on the course. Pro-shop staff was wonderful, friendly and great to talk to.
I'll be back later in the year when the course dries out and the Bermuda is out of its dormant state. This is a great marsh styles course with views and wildlife
January Golf
When it is 70 in January in Maryland yo have to play golf. We were the only golfers on the course so it was great. Course was of course wet but just being out there was well worth the fees and Swann Point is without question the best local course for Southern Marylanders.
fALL GOLF
The course is in good shape, leaves on some fairways, and greens, but it is fall time so.
Fall golf
A lot of leaves on the fairway and greens, but it is fall so. Other than that, course was beautiful
Sand traps need to be smoothed out
The last few times I have be here the sand traps are very lumpy and bumpy. need to be raked out smooth every day.
Quality golf course
Absolutely nothing boring about this course! Thinking before hitting is required since errant shots can be very penalizing. Many beautiful holes and course is in great shape!
Great Course
I last played this course in 1995. Decided to return to area to play the course again. The course was in immaculate shape and very challenging, considering Issue MD is not a heavily populated area. My wife and I both played. The weather was perfect, and the course was nearly empty, so we felt like we had the course to ourselves. No one chasing us and no one holding us up. Best round of golf we've had this year.
