Swan Point Yacht & Country Club
About
Situated along the shores of the Potomac River in southern Maryland, Swan Point Country Club has been ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in the state. Golfers who enjoy playing in the Carolinas will feel right at home on this course. Water or marshland comes into play on 12 holes and there is an abundance of pine trees. The course is also home to a variety of wildlife including osprey, bald eagles, and deer. In addition to the water, strategically placed bunkers add another challenging element to the golf course. The par-5 fourth hole is considered the signature, mostly due to the challenging island green. Proper club selection is key in order to maneuver past the lake that runs along the entire left side of the fairway. The hole is especially hard on windy days.

Swan Point Golf
Beautiful course, very well kept. Booked a Hot Deal tee time for 2:00 pm so we were not rushed. The club house has friendly staff, and fantastic food.
Great shape
The golf course was in great shape the greens and Fairways we're cut and the location of the flagstick we're in good spots overall my wife and I had a great time
Swan point
It was drizzling up until the point we took on the first tee. It had been raining pretty steadily the two days prior. We were not expecting much from this course due to the rain. Even with the damp conditions the course was great. Easily the number one course in southern Maryland. We will be back again and spread the word on this gem of a course.
Golf Day
The course was in good condition. The weather was windy, that caused the pollen to get stirred up. Also the grounds around the parking lot was been maintained, which the workers were using blowers causing more pollen storms.
Just average
It's just an average layout .. staff not so friendly.. several groups jumped in front of us during our round... We were a twosome so pace of play was not an issue with us... when we made the turn their was four groups eating on 10... I probably won't be back again..
February golf
I was able to get a great golf now price to play over Presidents day weekend. After a brief delay due to frost, I was off to play on an unusually nice February morning. The course was in great shape for this time of year and as always, the staff is very nice and accommodating. If you have not played Swan Point it is worth the trip but please fix your divots and ball marks on the green. You dirt bags know who you are and if you are thinking it may be you it probably is.
Good course layout
Course has a good layout and greens are in good condition at this time of the year. Only problem I had was a foursome in front of us (us 2 people) was waiting for them but no one in front of them. Looks like they were playing for money and was taking their good ol time. We skip one hole to get it in front of them and we finished in a reasonable time. Must have been members with no etiquette about playing. But overall it was an enjoyeable round.
Fun and fast to play.
I played the back tees and was a great layout. Reminded me of low country golf in a place like Hilton head. Greens were firm rolled well. I would play it again. It is off the beaten path right on the Potomac river.
Beautiful view tough layout
Course is recovering well after a real hot month.
Awesome experience!
The golf course is wonderful and the views are nice! I love playing there again!
Best course in the southern Md area
This is an outstanding golf course and team that up with the fantastic staff and outstanding clubhouse food, and you'll get a great outing! This is the best course in the southern Maryland area! Very challenging, fairways are like some courses greens! Staff go out of their way to treat you great and make you want to return! Worth every penny but when you get a good deal from Golf.com, jump on it!
Nothing calm about this Swan!
I've played this course before,. It's in excellent shape and the staff is super friendly. The time of day made the difference as I cruised through 18 holes in under three hours. However, the layout makes you bring the A game as this course will make you pay if you let down your guard at any time. Beautiful course, but don't let the beauty deceive you. Think about every shot as this this help you avoid the doubles and others, and aid in your scoring well. Thanks Swan Point!!
A bit of Carolina in Southern MD.
Swan Point is a hike for me and my golf buddies, but we make it a point to play it once a year. The course reminds you of some courses in North Carolina with the tall pines and marshland. The course is always in excellent shape and the staff is second to none when it comes to customer service. My only gripe with Swan Point is that its so far, but so worth the drive. Keep up the great work.
Wow Swan Point is going down hill
We have played here too many times to count. This has always been our favorite course in Maryland. We were at shocked at the extremely poor condition of the entire golf course. One green had two sand pot holes. Fairways had a lot of area with no grass. The landscaping was not maintained. Every green was in poor shape. Very sad to see this happening here.
Insanely good rate for this course
Have played several time before but never under Golf Now reservation. Got insanely good rate for mid-day (yeah I know its hot ...drink more water!!) Played with two others who eventually let me jump ahead of them as a single. Group in front of me let me play thru and it was "off-to the races" as course was wide open in front of them. Finished 18 in just under 2.5 hrs with a stop at the turn for food. Pace allowed me to post a GOOD score for me at this location. Green were very quick as they have just been punched.
