The course is suitable for them, not for golf right now Photo submitted by DrOldSchool on 05/06/2018
Challedon is NOT an $80 per round golf course
Why did you jack up rate by 20% over 2019? Challedon is NOT and $80 per round golf course.
Whoever is running this place, is running it right into the ground. Get real. We'll play elsewhere
Poorly managed, 21% price increase; BYE BYE
This was our go-to course for the last few yrs, but no more. Whoever is their new chief decision maker is doing an awful job. Starting with a 21% price increase in 2020, in times of recession, 16% unemployment and a pandemic. Are you nuts? And what's changed since last year...nothing.
They used to offer a promo card (was it called the Pimlico card?) That's gone . Now they offer a 'membership' that doesn't even include weekend play. These are moronic decisions.
The driving range STILL has broken tees, so there's no way to hit a driver. Maybe try the grass in front of the mats, but it's not grass....it's weeds.
Lastly the COVID cups on many holes are almost level with the putting surface; we had several putts literally roll into the cup and continue right out. You can easily changes the cups so there's at least a 2" drop, not the 1/4" on most holes. People can bend down to pick up their ball without touching the flag stick.
Management, you are making just awful decisions. Our gang will NOT be coming back.
Ok, so we can expect prices will be reduced, once COVID-19 is over, since your 'costs' will decrease.
One suggestion, perhaps instead of paying 3 guys to stand around by the bag drop (of course none of them are even loading bags onto carts due to COVID) maybe redeploy them to clean carts.
When can we expect to have the driving range able to accommodate tees so players can hit driver?
sorry you feel this way.......we found it necessary to raise prices for the first time in 5 years due to the added sanitation costs, covid shut down, longer tee time intervals, new carts, and yet only an average of 14%. Our Links Membership is selling very well, and pays for itself in less than 3 rounds a month, Course looks great, Pace is good......hope you reconsider.

Well maintained course
Beautiful and well-maintained course. I played it for the first time and I am certainly coming back.
First time here - will be back
Great course and property in general. Challenging but rewarding. Blind shots. Accuracy is rewarded. One of those courses you finish and want to go right back out and take another crack at it. Will definitely be back and do recommend you play it.
Staff was awesome and big sales on the gear in the pro shop.
Nice course but overpriced
This course is in nice shape with great greens. They will only accept the Tee Time Golf Pass if you walk on. This is not a good practice and deters our group of seniors from coming out. The pre booked price for seniors is $49 which is too much in my opinion. If they allowed a pre booking with the Golf Pass the course would be much fuller. And our group of 16 would be playing there regularly.
Links Course in Great Condition
The course was in excellent condition. The staff is friendly, conscious of COVID restrictions/cleanliness, and very helpful. All in all, it was an enjoyable day playing golf.
Great Course
The course is in great shape! I love this course! They are doing a great job with the Greens. The Greens are pristine right now! The Super and crew are doing an awesome Job! Staff is awesome! Very personable. Nice Pro Shop! Brand new EZGO Carts!
The only thing I don’t like and it’s certainly a small issue but I don’t think they want to promote practice driving from the range. Looks like a lot of Golfers have stepped off the practice mats and tee’d up a few but the Mats should have a hole where you can bring your own rubber Tee. I should have asked if this is due to the houses being so close to the course. Bottom Line; get by there and play a round. You’ll enjoy it! Hope this helps!
Nice Course for the money
Haven't played the course in a few years. Decent condition the greens were a little bumpy and seemed to still be healing from aeration. Nice pro-shop. Pace of play wasn't bad.
Memorial Links On memorial day
Great conditions for a beautiful course. Pace of play was 4h15 on a holiday. Everyone had its own cart. Staff was aware of the reservation and was very helpful. Highly recommend going to the links if you going a bit stir crazy . Truly enjoyed my day with the boys
Area Favorite
I've always liked this course, new carts and a well taken care of course just added to my reasons for having this as a local favorite.
Great experience
A bit of a drive from DC, but well worth it for the experience. The staff was awesome and the course was in solid condition. A few of the greens appeared to still be recovering for aeration and a few tee boxes needed some seed-easy fixes. The layout presents the player with the opportunity to play a variety of shots. I played in the late morning on a sunny day and will definitely play again.
ChallengeDon
There were not many players when I played. The pace was exceptionally fast. The greens were fast as expected. The carts are brand new. Pleased with the course, but not my game. Will play this again when discounts are available.
Nice Firm Layout
Played the Links at Challedon on a warm but breezy day in early March. Greens were cut and rolled to take out winter bumps and rolled about 9 and perfect. Firm fairways for plenty of roll. Very friendly staff. Will return.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
due to added sanitation costs, the covid shut down, new carts, and longer tee time intervals, we found it necesary to raise our prices for the first time in 5 years, and only an average of 14%.......the course is busy, Pace is good, and looking great!
