The course is suitable for them, not for golf right now Photo submitted by DrOldSchool on 05/06/2018
Poor treatment
Played this course today. We had a tee time, and we all had either tee time golf pass or the digital version. They told us that they no longer will accept them for tee times, only for walk ons. They were very condescending about the matter, and begrudgingly gave us the rate advertised. I generally like this course, but after driving almost an hour to get there I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon for that sort of treatment.
So very nice for a semi-private course
I've been playing Challedon for over 10 years -- I"ve never seen the course in better shape. The management team has worked very hard over the lst few years to bring the club back to life. The Links at Challedon offer a challenging course (for amateur golfers), a variety of holes, new golf carts, a friendly staff, clean facilities and a nice grill with good food and drink after your round. If you haven't played, give Challedon a chance, you'll like it.
Super kind words Mr Loden!!
Many thanks!!
Your Managing Partner.
Wow, great course
This course is in excellent conditions. I found that the greens are consistent through the entire course. Shop staff was very helpful, and the rounds were running smoothly even though the course was packed to the brim. Definitely coming back.
Great to hear! Really appreciate the kind words, and hope to see you back soon?!
Bring your friends and try our food!
Thanks!

all around best deal
Golfing at Challedon is my go to course. From the many practice tee's to the putting greens. I find it easy to concentrate and enjoy myself at the same time. The staff is super accommodating, hustling to get anything needed to prepare you for a challenging round. Maintenance of the course is given the utmost of attention. At 9 or 18, getting a snack to ordering dinner for my family is alway easy and taste. Not sure if my favorite is the Chicken sandwich with dipping sauce or the bacon cheeseburger, eating in or carry out. It is also great being able to take the grand kids there as if we are playing putt putt, and then sitting out on the patio for drinks and food. As the many yearly events from Santa Claus visits to The Make A Wish fundraisers and Toys for Tots present drive. You will enjoy yourself every time.
Thanks so much! It's always good to get positive feedback and recognition......we're trying our best!

Great Experience
The course is in great shape, the staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant knocks it out of the park. Highly recommend.
Great feedback! Really appreciate that and your support!

Conditions better each time I play
I've played the course about 6 times the last month and each time the course seems to be getting better. The greens are rolling well and getting a little faster each time I play. T boxes and fairways are in good shape.
The staff has always been very pleasant and helpful.
The practice area is good, I particularly like the chipping green to work on my game.
With a full course on Wednesday I played 9 holes in about 2 hours.
Thanks so much for the review! The challedon Team, continues to work hard on Course condition and service! Please come back!

The Links at Challedon is a pretty good course for the cost. To start, the driving range is okay with plenty of targets, however, the mats are in poor shape. The course conditions were in pretty good shape - greens were great but rolled a little slow, fairways weren't too bad, but the tee boxes could use some work. Overall, it's a nice place to play and I would definitely come back for another round.
Challedon is NOT an $80 per round golf course
Why did you jack up rate by 20% over 2019? Challedon is NOT and $80 per round golf course.
Whoever is running this place, is running it right into the ground. Get real. We'll play elsewhere
due to added sanitation costs, the covid shut down, new carts, and longer tee time intervals, we found it necesary to raise our prices for the first time in 5 years, and only an average of 14%.......the course is busy, Pace is good, and looking great!

Poorly managed, 21% price increase; BYE BYE
This was our go-to course for the last few yrs, but no more. Whoever is their new chief decision maker is doing an awful job. Starting with a 21% price increase in 2020, in times of recession, 16% unemployment and a pandemic. Are you nuts? And what's changed since last year...nothing.
They used to offer a promo card (was it called the Pimlico card?) That's gone . Now they offer a 'membership' that doesn't even include weekend play. These are moronic decisions.
The driving range STILL has broken tees, so there's no way to hit a driver. Maybe try the grass in front of the mats, but it's not grass....it's weeds.
Lastly the COVID cups on many holes are almost level with the putting surface; we had several putts literally roll into the cup and continue right out. You can easily changes the cups so there's at least a 2" drop, not the 1/4" on most holes. People can bend down to pick up their ball without touching the flag stick.
Management, you are making just awful decisions. Our gang will NOT be coming back.
Ok, so we can expect prices will be reduced, once COVID-19 is over, since your 'costs' will decrease.
One suggestion, perhaps instead of paying 3 guys to stand around by the bag drop (of course none of them are even loading bags onto carts due to COVID) maybe redeploy them to clean carts.
When can we expect to have the driving range able to accommodate tees so players can hit driver?
sorry you feel this way.......we found it necessary to raise prices for the first time in 5 years due to the added sanitation costs, covid shut down, longer tee time intervals, new carts, and yet only an average of 14%. Our Links Membership is selling very well, and pays for itself in less than 3 rounds a month, Course looks great, Pace is good......hope you reconsider.

Well maintained course
Beautiful and well-maintained course. I played it for the first time and I am certainly coming back.
First time here - will be back
Great course and property in general. Challenging but rewarding. Blind shots. Accuracy is rewarded. One of those courses you finish and want to go right back out and take another crack at it. Will definitely be back and do recommend you play it.
Staff was awesome and big sales on the gear in the pro shop.
Nice course but overpriced
This course is in nice shape with great greens. They will only accept the Tee Time Golf Pass if you walk on. This is not a good practice and deters our group of seniors from coming out. The pre booked price for seniors is $49 which is too much in my opinion. If they allowed a pre booking with the Golf Pass the course would be much fuller. And our group of 16 would be playing there regularly.
Links Course in Great Condition
The course was in excellent condition. The staff is friendly, conscious of COVID restrictions/cleanliness, and very helpful. All in all, it was an enjoyable day playing golf.
Great Course
The course is in great shape! I love this course! They are doing a great job with the Greens. The Greens are pristine right now! The Super and crew are doing an awesome Job! Staff is awesome! Very personable. Nice Pro Shop! Brand new EZGO Carts!
The only thing I don’t like and it’s certainly a small issue but I don’t think they want to promote practice driving from the range. Looks like a lot of Golfers have stepped off the practice mats and tee’d up a few but the Mats should have a hole where you can bring your own rubber Tee. I should have asked if this is due to the houses being so close to the course. Bottom Line; get by there and play a round. You’ll enjoy it! Hope this helps!
Sorry, just can’t afford discounting advanced bookings Pal.
Hope you’ll reconsider.
