The course is suitable for them, not for golf right now Photo submitted by DrOldSchool on 05/06/2018
Great course
Had a good day playing with friends. It’s winter but overall the course is in decent condition and the staff was wonderful.
Hot Deal
Played here on a hot deal, and it was well worth it. Cart path only, but that's how it is at most courses this time of year. Greens rolled well, and course is in a very playable shape for the winter. Not the fastest round ever but still played in 4.25 to 4.5 hrs.
Always a pleasure
Play the Links at Challedon many times during the spring, summer, and fall. The course is always in great condition, there will be the occasional big tournament that leaves it healing for a few days - other than that perfect. Lots of diversity on the course - a real pleasure to play.
I really like that they do special events to keep golf/the course fun in the winter too.
Great grill, bar , and food too. Not much better then relaxing on the patio after a nice round at the Links.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
Great value too!
Rainy day
Tried to steal a round in February. Got a $17 hot deal. Course was empty bunkers on the front didn’t have rakes. Standing water in the fairways. Cart path only from recent rains. All in all it was a good day because the course was empty but playable. Glad we made the tee time. Nice and helpful staff
Always good
I play here about 3 times a year . Always in great shape, staff friendly, and you can make the course as challenging as needed by selecting the appropriate tee boxes. Good practice area. Short game area with practice bunker. Restrooms on course in multiple places. Bar and grille excellent food pricey but get what you pay for.
Nice Golf outing!
Where can you get 18 holes for $30 with nice fairways and greens. Way to start 2020!! Will go again.
Great price for winter golf
Pace was very slow. Started 20 minutes late and had a group of 5 playing in front of us slow
This course is good for both men and women
My wife and I play here regularly. The course accommodates both our games. It is in the best condition I have seen. What makes it even better is the staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
This course has it all
Played The Links at Challedon numerous times over the past few months and it is in great shape. The course is fun, challenging but fair. People are cool and Food is great.
The customer service is 5 Star from the Starter, Pro-shop staff and restaurant staff.
I would recommend the Links at CHALLEDON to everyone
Best value in the area.
Played the course again the other day. The course is in great shape, especially for December, greens really rolling. The course is tough but fair and always a challenge. Staff always friendly and attentive. You can pay more to play but why?
Great golf value and experience
I organized a 28-player tournament at the Links at Challedon in September of this year. From the start, the staff was knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and flexible. They offered a variety of dates and prices and offerings, and we quickly came to an agreement.
On the tournament day, the staff was extremely friendly and cooperative - helping me to get every one to the range and the course on time, and to set up the contests (long drive and closest to the pin). The course was in great shape and was a good test. And we finished playing in under five hours, which, in my experience, is very good for a stroke play tournament.
After the round, the bar/clubhouse/patio were great for the players to get nutrition (liquid and solid) while we sorted the prizes.
All-in-all, it was a great day for a great value!
The Marshall would try to hit me by iron club. It was dangerous and scared. Terrible course !!!!

Update to April's Review
Management has done some really good work on this course since my last visit in April. The fairways, for the most part, are green with plenty of grass. I did notice #15 and #17 still had some sections with dirt splotches. And, there are a couple of holes that have holes (like tractor marks or small sink holes), but other than that it is a 100% improvement. The bunkers were exceptional. The rough was thick and had not been cut, so it was a challenge today. My only complaint would be the tee boxes. Still hardly any grass and what is there is mostly crabgrass. However, I'll take it--they have made a lot of improvement since the Spring. The staff is always very nice and accommodating, and they do have a great grill (although I didn't stay). Pace was exceptional...a little over 3 hours. And, all for $30 with the Tee Time Book!
great day
Played Challedon yesterday, and had great experience. Fairways were firm and fast, yes a little patchy on the front, but it is August. Greens on the front still showed some signs of aerification, much smoother on the back. Some of the best bunkers I have ever had to hit out of. And let me tell you the cheeseburger and fries at the turn, Wow!! Juicy and delicious, will be going back soon.
Bring a good book to read while waiting to tee off.
Played on a Monday afternoon at 4pm with a group of 3(including myself.) Knew we were in for a long butt numbing round when we waited for 10 minutes to tee off on the first hole. There was a group of 4, another group of 4, a group of two, us (group of 3) and the another group of 3 behind us that must have all been told to tee off within 10 minutes of each other. We were constantly passed by other players trying to get around the massive pile up of players on the course, which in turn just made the problem worse. The starter has one job, to make sure that doesn't happen. I wouldn't let that starter start my car with a remote start, he'd probably screw that up too. After two and a half + hours to get through 9 holes we gave up. Spent more time roasting in the sun waiting to play than actually playing.
