Eastmoreland Golf Course
About
Eastmoreland Golf Course was laid out in 1917 by National Amateur Champion, H. Chandlar Egan. Today, Eastmoreland is ranked by Golf Digest among the top public courses in the country. Eastmoreland is as beautiful as it is challenging, bordered in part by Portland’s Rhododendron Gardens and Crystal Springs Lake. The environment provides a home for thousands of birds including great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks and more. The tree-lined fairways are beautiful year round and the natural hazards such as ravines, streams and lakes require the best from any golfer.

Great course
Eastmoreland one of Portland's oldest courses in SE. Lots of trees but a great course to play. Greens were in great shape was was the course overall.
Big Fun
I love Eastmoreland. Easy walking, challenging layout. Good company. I always walk on as a single and have never had a bad pairing. The wildlife is abundant and the course is in great shape. There's a bald eagle nesting by #17.
Great Value in SE PDX
Fun course, good value considering the location.
Old course
This course is a good walking course. There is one area where you have to go down a side walk but overall it isn't too hilly. The greens can be a bit tricky and it has two over water par 3s. The par 5s are fairly short which leads to good birdie chances. The driving range is a bit crazy cause it parallels the 18th fairway and a few balls made it over while we were hitting. Overall on a weekday morning it is a nice fun course to play in an old part of Portland. Very green and pretty.
Great course
Course is convenient, the fairways and greens were in great shape, and it's an easy course to walk.
exceptionaly maintained, great layout
played in the rain, however the course drained very well. Greens were perfect, the course played long & favors a draw on most holes. (plenty use of fairway wood play to approach greens). Loads of wildlife too (Deer, Nutria, birds, etc)
Def one of my fav PDX courses, and well priced. Cant wait to play it again.
So-So experience
One water fountain on the course, no drinks cart, few ball washers, course covered in goose droppings and NO air hose....plus indifferent staff.
Worth $32 ?
And THAT was just for the CART! I didn't want to BUY the cart ... Just RENT it. $32 is a ridiculous amount to pay to rent a cart for 18 holes. The least it could've done was RUN. After about 12 holes, the CART died and had to practically be PUSHED back to the clubhouse. Good thing GolfNow/HOTDEALS is around or we wouldn't be able to play this course (cost). This is a great course, fun to play, but the folks in the clubhouse have absolutely no Customer Service skills, Not friendly, especially if you book in advance thru GolfNow for a discount. They act like they're doing you a BIG FAVOR "allowing you" to play golf on "their" course with their "paying customers". Greenskeeper was nice, though. Dunno if I'm ever coming back. Thank you, GolfNow, for the great discount and great Customer Service!
Too soggy!
Record rainfall caused standing water and mushy fairways but for $12+fee we can't really complain. Beautiful clubhouse and a beer later all is forgiven.
Can't beat the hot deal
Friendly staff, fun outing. Back 9 definitely more challenging. Fast weekday pace. Recommend and I'd play again. BTW, I'm a 15 handicap.
Hurry up & wait
Close to 6 hrs for a round.....sigh. Hard to get in the groove when you're waiting on every tee at least 15-20 minutes. Front 9 3 hrs/10 min, back 9 2hrs/20min.
Too long to play and no staff help
It took 2.5 hours to play 9 holes, so I wasn't able to finish my round. I gave up at 4.5 hours. The course was busy, but I watched too many people not are about anyone behind them. Despite having seen 2 player assists at the start of the round, none came around to urge people to keep up the pace. I won't return.
Nice and green
greens are in good shape, the fairways are cut a little too low for my liking but all is in good shape and green.
Good Local Course with Poor Pace
Pace was very slow for a Thursday, and didn't see a Marshall once on the front nine. Play had 6-10min wait on tee boxes for a 2 1/2 round of nine.
Fun Course
Fun course to play. Greens were in good shape, the fairways not as much. Always a great experience playing here. A few enticing risk-reward shots.
Greens were fast
Ground is pretty hard outside the fairways. The greens were not very receptive so you need to run the ball up onto them. Putting was pretty true and fast. Pin placements were assessable and not made too difficult.
Great Place
This was a memorable afternoon, I had not played this course for over 25 years, man what a change, It was great golfing with my son at a place I grew up at, I caddied at this course when I was 8, 9. & 10 years old and learned how to golf on this course. I am 60 years old. Thanks for the old and now new memories.
Maybe Next time
Will play again sometime. Only when I can find a good Golf Now deal.
Good Course
Course is a good layout, back 9 a much different experience than front 9.
