Eastmoreland Golf Course
About
Eastmoreland Golf Course was laid out in 1917 by National Amateur Champion, H. Chandlar Egan. Today, Eastmoreland is ranked by Golf Digest among the top public courses in the country. Eastmoreland is as beautiful as it is challenging, bordered in part by Portland’s Rhododendron Gardens and Crystal Springs Lake. The environment provides a home for thousands of birds including great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks and more. The tree-lined fairways are beautiful year round and the natural hazards such as ravines, streams and lakes require the best from any golfer.

Spring Golf
Recently aerated and the greens were sandy and in consistent. Tee boxes were beat up, but serviceable. Fairways were nice and dry. It's early to be too critical.
Great course
Beautiful layout, love this course in any conditions.
Good value and friendly staff
The course condition was excellent considering the wet, windy weather in the area recently. We really appreciate the friendly welcome from the staff. Sets up a good vibe for the whole day.
Last day
I played because my friend who lives just blocks away convinced me to play and it was a perfect day to play and it was played with two really nice guys.
mr
haven’t played there in a long time but the is in great shape, it’s just weird that homeless people walking into the course in the back nine.
Beautiful Course
It was everything I’ve been told about. Had a few couple holes that you must stay on one side or you’re in danger. If you hit straight you’ll be golden.
Traps need additional sand
Been playing this course for 40 years.
It has always been average at best.
City run public courses are going downhill.
Classic municipal course
It’s has an interesting layout. Not maintained very well. Just needs a lot of love. It’s August and the greens are soft and wet, not firm and fast. I imagine it’s horrendous in the winter. Lots of geese, poop. 💩 it’s a muni, priced fairly for what it is, has a range, and practice green. It’s cool, but you won’t mistake it for a country club.
Ragged but Right
Beautiful challenging golf course at a reasonable price and good practice facilities. Like most heavily played courses some worn spots and poor pace of play.
What a mess
Layout is great. Greens were great. Tee boxes are a mess. Chewed up and tees, broken and otherwise, everywhere. Goose poop all over the fairways. You had to watch every step.
MM Review
Great city course. The only real issue with this course is the number of geese that rrequent about 4 or 5 holes leaving behind their wonderful offerings for your ball or shoe to find.
Fun track, just not in great condition
Eastmoreland has always been fun to play because it seems like every hole is different. Staff is friendly and vibe there is good.
However it is in rough shape and the greens were very slow. The tee boxes are ratty and it looks like something is killing the grass in many places. Hopefully it is temporary and will recover.
