At this time of year, you would expect leaves all over the place, the greens and fairways beginning to... Well just not be in top condition. Surprise! They were in great condition. Love the course and guarantee I will be back there the first chance I get.

First time here, i got paired up with two local golfers Al and John that gave great info and history of the place. This was thanksgiving weekend and i thought the course was in great shape. Greens where rolling good. But i can tell, if you play here during summer months/ dry times. These greens will eat you up. There are some tuff down hill putts here if you don’t stay below the hole. There are some tight holes and nice open holes. And the par three’s are nice. The course is pretty much flat with some little hills. But nothing crazy. If you never played here. I drove 1.5hrs to get there and I would drive it again. See you next summer.

I liked the course and the staff in general.

Issues: Did not see anyone on the course trying to maintain the pace of play.

Booked a 12:40 tee time. When I checked in there was no mention of cart return time.

Starter made no mention of cart return time.

at about 4:15-4:30, a guy road by and said cart return time was 4:45. Since it will was still going to be light, and we were not made aware of this when we checked in, we decided to keep playing to get the last few holes in.

Right at 4:45, a young lady came riding around and tried to shame us for not respecting their rules.

Rules? If your going to yank us off of the course prematurely, you should warn us of this rule before we pay and start our round..

This course is consistently good. Not great, it doesn’t have anything particularly special about it, but it’s always good. The grass on all parts of the course was in really good shape. The only downside was the noise from the people removing trees along the course.

This is a great course to play with breaking the bank. As always, the staff was very professional and courteous.

Please buy some Truilly or White Claw seltzers. Not all people drink beer or hard alcohol.

1st time playing GV. Absolutely loved it. Will definitely go back. Greens were sweet. Fast & held golf shots. Tee boxes a hair long, but it’s late Oct. don’t expect them to be mowed 3x week this late. Fairways good. Strongly recommend this track.

Played this course a few times before in years past, thought it was an average track in average to below average condition. Now, apparently under new ownership, place is in terrific shape! Fairways and greens beautiful, tee boxes lush, foliage trimmed, basically $100 course condition. Trees have grown out a little to make the holes a little more challenging and, as before, pastoral setting (no houses in sight) is a nice relaxing day. Great job GV team!

It would have been helpful if there was a Ranger on course to ensure pace of play and golf etiquette were being upheld. There were several occasions where there was 2 or 3 groups waiting on the tee boxes and open holes ahead due to slow play and a lack of golf etiquette.

It’s a very well maintained course with reasonably fast greens. The fairways are wide and forgiving. However the grass on the fairways was a bit long on the day we played making clean shots challenging. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very enjoyable course and will definitely play again.

Greens were very good; fairways and bunkers good, tees a tad sparse and rough poor. A nice layout and a very good value. We would return again.
