Glade Valley Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains about 15 minutes from Fredricksburg, Glade Valley Golf Club has been selected as a top-100 golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region by Washington Golf Monthly. The Jim Reck design, which opened in 1990, has a nice mix of woods, water, natural habitat and sand traps that will test golfers, but the golf course isn't overly difficult.

Excellent course and excellent staff to match!
The course was in great shape, the pace of play was awesome considering it was the first day with temps in the 80’s since being snowed in. Mike Thompson was great at showing me where to go, practice and meet the group I was playing with. Mike was very helpful after the round making me feel very welcomed.
Good no-frills course
Good solid course. Staff and patrons always friendly. Great value!
more than 5 stars
Excellent service and great helpful staff.
I went to GV course on Sunday 31 March. Although Golf Now did a really bad service and made me so disappointed but THE COURSE SAVED AND MADE ME SO HAPPY.
I REALLY APPRECIATED ALL STAFF. THANH YOU SO MUCH
Slow play
Second time I've played Glade valley. They double booked tee tomes and play was unbearable. 4 groups on holes. Quit after 9. Slow play last time also.
Great pace of play
Played as a walking single on a relatively busy Saturday - pace of play was great - done in about 3 1/2 hours. Course was in good shape. The traps were a little rough but it was evident that they are starting to do springtime maintenance on them. Staff was very friendly and I was pleased that they allowed me to go out as a single at my scheduled tee time rather than hold me up to pair with others. Fees are very reasonable too.
Glade Valley is a great bet
Have played here many times. Best bang for the buck in the area. Greens and fairways are beautiful. Highly recommended.
Best place for the money, course always well maintained and a great course for every skill levels!
Best golf course for the money
Very nice staff! It was a busy day on Tuesday, the weather was great and we had a great time! The layout is cool. Staff is one of the nicest staff you’ll ever have! Keep up the great work! I would and have recommended this course to people and if you like to walk it’s easy on the body. Thanks Glade Valley.
Frozen
Started out on frozen course with greens hard as a rock . Half way through they some what thawed out.
Winter golf course played just fine.
Walking
First time walking in a few years. And chose this course because I knew it would be a good course to do my first walk and glad I did! I have played this course a lot. This is a great course. There was a few course near the trees that needed to be flown to get rid of the tree debris. Even with the debris you will like this course. And I hate doing reviews!!!
Great course at a great price
I played a round with my son who is 13, and it was his 4th time playing. Staff was friendly, and gave us the youth rate even though I booked online! Course was in wonderful shape, and pace of play was great!
Always a good time.
This course has everything you need for all levels of golfer, the greens are in excellent shape and the fairways are nice and plush. Because of the winter season the tee boxes have been moved up so the course is a little shorter then the score card but still have a enough challenge to make the round fun. The staff is very warm and welcoming and make visiting the course a treat. I will be back as soon as I’m able.
Try a little
Course was beyond oversold. After 4 hours we only had gotten through 13 holes. The leaves had not been raked or blown in what appeared to be weeks on the fringes. I understand for a mid week round but for a Saturday I would expect a little effort to not over sell the course and maintain the area.
