About
Nestled in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains about 15 minutes from Fredricksburg, Glade Valley Golf Club has been selected as a top-100 golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region by Washington Golf Monthly. The Jim Reck design, which opened in 1990, has a nice mix of woods, water, natural habitat and sand traps that will test golfers, but the golf course isn't overly difficult.

Good value for the money
The course is short and fairly open, but conditions were really good for February. For the price, it's a great value.

Good course layout need to shape some shots challenging greens but needs to address tee boxes need some leveling and reseeding

Glade Valley is a fun course to play. The staff is very friendly. The course was in good shape. It sits in the country. I like to play at this course. the price was right.
December Golf
It was a last minute decision to play but glad we did. It was cold and windy at times but the sun was shining and the pace was fast. I played with a hockey player that hit it like Happy Gilmore. The staff was friendly and happy to serve.
5some
I hate doing reviews! I play this course every other week always great place to play. I played as a threesome yesterday and was stuck behind two sets of 5some. No GOLF ETIQUETTE at all. We ended up quitting because of the slow play. After loading up my car I went inside to talk to Les the guy behind the counter. And the guy that I was playing with was already talking to him about the problem. This is a warning to everyone they will throw you off the course just like they did with the 2 groups of 5. Way to go Glade Valley. They do have a sign that says NO 5 SOME violators will be asked to leave no refunds! That is example that all courses should lead by!
Hidden Gem
Second time playing here. The starter was friendly. The pace of play was amazing. Despite being very crowded on a holiday weekend we played in under 4 hours. The course is in nice shape relative to other courses in the area. The greens are fairly fast and have a lot of break in them. This is also an extremely easy course to walk. Oh did I say we only paid $12 including cart? Ridiculous!
We will definitely come back again. I just wish the course was a little closer to home. This would be my home course!
Fall playing
2nd time playing GladeValley. Cost for playing this course was very reasonable. Layout of the course kept you focused. Conditions of greens overall was manicured and fast. Some greens were covered by leaves understandable for this time of year. Pace of play was great. Overall had a great experience and would recommend playing this course anytime.
OK Golf Course
Played here on the way down to Fl. Course was in fair condition. Greens were above average, layout out was average at best. Bunkers and rough were below average fairways average I would rate in a 5 out of 10 overall.

This course was in great shape. The greens were fast. Despite the blustery day everyone was great!

Great round of golf
We had a 12:16pm tee time so i didnt expext a fast round of golf. It took us 5hrs and 10min to finish due to a drunk foursome holding everyone up. The greens and fareways were great. There are a number of dirt/rough areas that should be grass but they are dried out. The staff was very nice and the price is great. I will go back in the near future. The only thing i will do differently is tee off early to avoid the 5hr round.

Excellent Course for the money
I've played this course 4 times this year and it is always in great shape and you can count on the price being reasonable. Highly recommended for a pleasant round!

Great course for non regular playing golfers
Played with my dad. Both of us have not played for over a year. This is a great course to get back into the game. Golfers should repair the ball marks on the green. Other than that, great course condition.

Good course for a fair price
The course was in good condition with excellent greens. There was a nice variety of long and short holes. It is very playable for golfers of all levels depending on the tees you choose. We teed off around 1 pm and finished up around 4:15.
If you are looking to play a nice course for a bargain price, this is it.

Excellent Value!
The hardest part about playing golf @ Glade Valley was trying to remember my Golfnow.com Password! lol. We had a foursome & it was Great! Quick on & service. Had a single behind us that we offered a pass & he was fine with waiting until we got our bearings.

Course in really good shape
The pace of play for middle of the week was little slow hard to get in a groove but I will go back staff was great along with course
