Great greens
Course is challenging, but very fair. The greens are famyastic and run at close to an 11. The only knock on tje course is that the bunkers need new sand.
Great conditions awesome clubhouse overlooking the 18th green
Perfect day ended with drinks on the patio overlooking the 18th green while acoustic music being played we will be back!!!
Only complaint are the cart paths are really rough so your bouncing all day long. Played the back 9 only.
Great Time
We had a great day playing Crestview on 9/23. The pro shop staff was friendly and helpful. The course was beautiful with some of the best greens ive played on all year. Challenging but not overly difficult for the mid-handicapper and 5 tee boxes so the tee box can be played that's right for you. Overall a great course that I would love to play again.
Crestview treat
Crestview is one of the finest courses in Western Massachusetts with friendly staff and ideal course conditions. We love playing there although it's a little bit more expensive than other courses in the area. GolfNow makes the course more affordable for retirees and young adults. My only criticism is that the cart paths are in terrible condition and should be replaced.
Deceptively tough
Very nice Geoffrey Cornish track, but not promoted very aggressively. Beautiful fairways, rough cut fairly high, but generally open. Bunkers were really hard and packed sand - for this price I would have expected these to be fluffed up at least. The greens were beautiful, well groomed and fast, but very sloped and somewhat undulating - extremely hard to read. My group of bogey golfers saw ONE par and ONE birdie all day, mostly attributable to the greens. For public playability, I'd recommend letting the greens get a little slower so missed putts don't slide off the green.
Solid course
This was my second time playing Crestview. Overall the course was in solid shape. It was after recent rain so a little wet in spots but overall it was good. The entire back 9 was top dressed, so putting through sand was a challenge, but overall I wouldn't say an absolute negative. I had a 7:10am tee time and was by myself, joining another group, but I was there early and the pro let me go out by myself. Played in about 3 hours, two balls on most holes. Course was not overly challenging though, played the black tees and didn't hit it off the tee that great, but still was able to score. I would definitely recommend the course for value.
nice layout
played here today for the first time. all employees (bag assistant, starter & pro shop staff were extremely friendly. conditions were great, even for early in year. greens were smooth and rolled true. fairways were good with minimal divot holes. the rough was rough as it was uneven and hadn't appeared to be cut in a while. bunkers were hard pack and a little rocky, though playable. cart paths showed their age (but not going to the course to ride the cart) so not a big deal. we only saw a water cooler on hole 10 and no beverage cart, which seemed unusual on a sunday.
will definitely play here again as course will probably be in better condition once everything grows in.
Crestview Review
The course was in very good condition considering drought. Greens were excellent, layout is challenging. The pace of play was great. I would recommend this course to my golfing friends especially with the golfnow pricing.
This course needs work
Poor starter , felt like I was being rushed to play . my golf cart was in very poor condition , no GPS on golf cart , the yardage markers were damaged or not there at all , cart paths were bad , leaves on many of the holes played , but the fairways and greens were in great condition. overall not worth the regular rate of 80 dollars in season.
great day
Golf every Monday at different courses throughout New England, this is one of the better courses!
Crest view
Great course ! Bring your "A" game.
Way too overpriced
Chose to play this course while visiting Western Mass because of the good reviews it received, but I was very disappointed. $67 on a weekday, noon tee time with a cart. First off, the cart paths are horrendous. There's not one smooth patch of pavement and the whole ride around is bumpy as anything and starts to really be a pain further in your round. Secondly, the amenities were awful. Water in coolers every couple of holes that was warm. Cart girl came around once when I was on 18. Sand traps and bunkers were more like gravel. If money is not an issue and you want to play a rather challenging course (pretty long), then go ahead. But their rates are absurd for what you actually get and the overall course.
Run down and needs a lot of work!
I played Crestview on May 31st and was very excited to play it for the first time. The first hole was a great starter but as we played into the course, it got much worse!
The fairways needed to be cut but the greens were good, fast and true. The rough was about a foot high and in need of a serious mow job. There were weeds and flowers growing throughout the course and we could not wait to finish. The cart paths were all in need of repair and it is evident that this course has been let go in the worst way.
They should take a page out of The Southampton Country Club's playbook. Not worth the money we spent at all. We did eat after the round and the food was excellent. It should have been included in the price though.
Marginal at best!
I expected a awesome experience at Crestview but got a marginal experience for the money. The greens were good but the fairways were just OK and the cart parts, fairways and roughs were overgrown and long with one machine cutting the grass. I won't be back and you can get better conditions at Southampton C.C.
Superb parkland layout
It was indeed fortunate that our Safari Club golf group got to play this superb course. With tight fairways and rather heavy rough, balls in play were a key to scoring. All greens were identical and in excellent shape without ball marks or other imperfections. Would go back again in a heartbeat!
