Hole 1: Par-4, 387. Good looking hole, distinguished by its gently bending fairway and big greenside bunker (hidden from view here). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/25/2021

The sixth. Number 1 index. Why so hard? The brook forces most to hit 3-wood from the tee, and it’s 575 yards long. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/25/2021

Pleasure to play.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing Oak Ridge golf course
with the Safari Club in early June. I found this course to be a quaint New England golf course with a lot of surrounding woodland and water areas with natural grasses and wildlife. It was a pleasure to play in this natural environment . The landing areas of the fairways and the greens were in great shape. I thought the course offered a nice variety of challenging holes.
Safari Outing
Oak Ridge was in excellent condition when the Safari Club got to play it Wednesday. Weather was cool and not too breezy. Many holes are par-able for the high handicappers. Staff was friendly and helpful and we had a great day!
Great time at Oak Ridge
This past Wed. the Safari Golf club played at Oak Ridge. We were treated like kings and queens for the day. The staff was super and the course was in great shape. The greens were a little fast to put on yet they were true. The course was in super shape and would recommend this course for all levels of golf.
ON JUNE 8TH 2016 I PLAYED THIS COURSE WITH THE SAFARI GOLF ASSOCIATION
What a great track, the course was in good condition and the greens were excellent.
The staff were ready for us when we got there and everything went well.
Looking forward to playing there again

Another home run!
The Safari Club did it again! Another fabulous golf course run by an equally fabulous staff. The greens are absolutely fantastic and you simply can't get a better bang for your buck anywhere in the immediate area. The course has a few holes that will help keep your card from becoming too bloated in score. While it also offers some holes that will challenge the best golfers out there. For anyone flying into the area from out of state, the proximity to Bradley Airport makes this little gem a no-brainer. Great course and competitive rates.
Travelers convenience.
Oak Ridge is a course that I have played quite a few times over the years, but yesterday I was amazed at the excellent condition the course was in. In fact, my playing partners,as well as most other members from The Safari Club of Golf, raved about the condition of the course.
The greens were in excellent condition and putted true. The fairways are generous and also great condition. Big hitters can take advantage of a couple risk/reward opportunities, although you must play smart on the par 5's because of hazards unseen from the tees.
Overall, a great time was had our group of over 100 players, and the staff was gracious and helpful.
Travelers take note,,,,20 mins to Bradley Int Airport, 20 mins to Barnes Muni Airport, close to I91, I90,rt10/202,rt 57,Ct rt 20,MA rt 20.
Safari Road Trip
Found Oak Ridge to be in great shape especially the greens Have played the course in the past and would definitely return..
Very friendly staff that welcomes you both on the course and in the 19th hole
Playable for the price
Just finished playing the course with the Safari Club. Several interesting and challenging holes. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Tee boxes needed some work but were playable. Good value.
Safari Club outing
Very nice lay out, Not that hard of a course. Greens are in very good shape.Fairways are in grate shape. T-Boxes are good also. This is the first year for me with the Safari Club. They know how to pick the good courses.
Course and greens in great condition
Had a great time again, played here before, bunkers just needed to be softened up
Enjoyable afternoon
My wife and I had played here in a tournament before so when we saw a great Hot Deal we grabbed it even though it is an hour from home. There was a member tournament that had to play through before we could tee off but we were still on time and it meant that we had no one behind us for most of the afternoon due to the holiday. We were paired with a couple from the tee time before ours but it was okay. The course was in the best shape of the three times I had played before and the greens were in really nice condition. Tee shots require accuracy as a number of the holes tighten up in the landing area and hazards can get you pretty quickly here, some of which you can not see off the tee. It definitely helped to have played here before. Clubhouse staff was friendly and helped get us out as soon as possible. The couple we played with were newer golfers and we still managed a 4.5 hr round in 90 deg. heat. All in all it was a nice afternoon on a decent course. We would make the drive again.
Excellent Condition
The course is often very wet in early season but this year it was dry and very green. Worth playing now.
Good Course
Ive played the course before and never disappointed. Greens were is great shape. Got an AMAZING deal $15 for 18 with cart.. albeit on a Monday at 1pm.
Course was is very good shape, greens were rolling true. Only thing that is lackluster about the course is their clubhouse, their 19th hole is in the basement and deary.
IMPROVING CONDITIONS AND A VERY GOOD VALUE
Oak RIdge conditions are improving as we speak. The greens are much faster and consistent than in previous seasons. They have over-seeded the fairways/tee boxes and they are coming in very nicely. Sand traps have been overhauled and the tee boxes are growing in and look very good. We played in the late morning and the pace was very good. The golf shop staff was very friendly, courteous, positive and went out of the way to help make our playing experience enjoyable. The value is above average and hard to match in the area. We will be back for more rounds this season! It is a very fun and challenging layout with a variety of different holes to test your shot making ability.
Greens good, rest needs some work
it's been a couple of years since I've played Oak ridge. I've always like the layout and the value. he greens were in good shape (which is my primary concern) however the rest of the course (tees, fairways and especially bunkers) need some work. You can see that they are working on some areas of the fairways and tees so they are aware of the need. hopefully things will be better in a month or two. Still a good value and an enjoyable course to play - I'll be back.
Good value
Course is in good condition however the fairways needed mowing. Nice polite reception in pro shop.
Great day for fall golf
Took my son to play Oak Ridge for the first time, my first time back here in 15 years! Course still good and challenging. The greens were slower this time, in the past they were lighting quick.
Pace of play was good, weather good, and staff friendly. Some holes they were thatching the fairways but it did not bother the game. A must play course when in Feeding Hills. Will be going back!
Great Value, Good Course
At $35 mid-week riding, Oak Ridge is a great deal. Our foursome had a 10:15 tee time and we teed off at 10:00 with nobody in front of us or behind us all day. Buy a $1 range book in the pro shop, it will come in handy for the layout, blind shots and layups.
The pro shop advised us that they had some winter damage to the fairways, which was evident by the brown patches on the fairways. We played these as ground under repair. Some of the tee boxes lacked grass, but it is still early in the season. The cart paths, a combination asphalt and gravel, were in great shape. Overall the course was in very good condition and will only get better with more rain, which has been lacking for three weeks.
At 5765 from the whites, the course is challenging for the mid-handicapper. There are some monster long holes, like the 550 yd 6th - from the whites. For ladies the forward tee placements make the course very enjoyable and a good and fair challenge. The fairways are wide but the first cut was a bit long. Balls straying far left or right of the fairways were mostly playable on all but a few holes. Seven holes involve ponds and three of those holes are forced carries. The greens were in excellent shape, but the sand traps could use more sand though.
The course is walkable, but a few holes are a long walk from green to the next tee box. For first-time players, finding the next hole was a challenge a few times. Better signage would be a big help.
The clubhouse and 19th hole were large and comfortable and the staff very friendly. They even have a banquet facility and a large parking lot.
I highly recommend Oak Ridge.
