Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

I love playing at Wigwam municipal. The course layout is very good with some challenging dog legs and inclines. Good pace of play and very friendly and accommodating staff.

great place
Agawam is always lots of fun. Tony Roberto does the work of four men making sure your visit is very enjoyable. He has the uncanning ability to be on top of everything going on whether it be pace of play, the clubhouse, cooking... you name it he does it all. We have a large group and we look forward to playing there every week. If you have not been to Agawam you owe it to yourself to give it a visit.

Great shape for a muni
Always fun to play. Usually less than four hours. Only complaint is some times there is a lack of golf etiquette with some of the customers. They follow their ball in the cart into other fairways regardless if you’re on the tee.

Good public course
Played day after heavy rain. Wet areas Demanded accurate ball striking. Rough deep. Leaves made it easy to lose balls. Fairways in gray condition. Rolling greens challenge ones putting prowess.

Fun round in the morning
I always have a great time playing at Agawam CC. The course is in great condition and well-maintained. Whoever mows the greens and tee boxes is doing an excellent job!

Fall conditions
The greens were recently aerated . This is not surprising but not mentioning it was the reason for an average rating on the conditions. Putting was made even trickier by the aerations. This is a very plain clubhouse amneities will not keep you there, trust me .

Great value
Agawam Municipal Golf Course is my primary course because of its proximity to my home. It's also the best golf bargain around. Although there are no water hazards on the course, it's a challenging layout that requires shot placement. The course location is absolutely perfect. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Hartford and downtown Springfield. On the back nine, you are surrounded by beautiful woods. Overall, it is a great place to play golf and enjoy nature!
