Excellent Condition
The course is in immaculate shape. Never seen it better
A Safari Club Favorite
One of the many Great tracks that we have in the Pioneer Valley! The Pro is very friendly and takes care to make sure your round there is very enjoyable. This is very long track that is well maintained. Come out and play it you'll love it!
Safari Club Outing
The course was in excellent condition for a very dry season. Now I know why they call it rough its about 3" deep. The greens are true. My suggestion is play to the hole don't play a brake unless you can definitely see one. This has been the norm for the past years. The food is very good. When we first got there they had dozens of free donuts and coffee. You don't see that at other courses. I play there many times a year and it is always in good shape. I know the greens keeper. I told him that the Safari Club was very happy with the conditions of the course.
Quality and Value
Westover is truly a golf course that exemplifies the fact that quality and value can go hand in hand, even in this day and age.
The staff is superb and the layout, although long if you choose to play from the tips, is fair and challenging.
It's difficult to believe they can keep this course as green and lush as they do, particularly on a drought year like the one we've been experiencing.
They handled our 100 plus member Safari Club outing like real pros and despite having that many folks playing the course over one shotgun start, we were all able to finish in just a bit over 4 hours.
Try Westover - you'll be glad you did.
SAFARI GOLF ASSOCIATION
On September 7th we played Westover Country Club
What great shape the entire course was in nothing burnt out here
The service in handling all 116 members from arriving to going home was great
What a great staff
Officer's club
I had the pleasure of playing one of the longer courses in my area with my friends in the safari club. The course was in marvelous shape as usual.
The only problem was that I am used to playing the back tees and for some reason it was suggested that our group play from the forward tees(to speed up play is my thought) and I was playing shots from places I have never played from before. Regardless, no excuses for my bad play, It was all me, not the course.
It is my understanding that the course was built for the brass at the adjacent Air Force base and then turned over to the city when the base became Air Force Reserve Base. It is a relatively long course, 6700 from the tips, but always well maintained and "ship shape" . The staff was friendly and willing to serve.
Great course
Played this today with the Safari Group and what a day!. The entire course was in great condition, as it has been all summer. Greens had been aerated a couple of weeks ago, but had grown back in nicely and were putting true. Pace of play was excellent. We had over 100 players on the course, and it only took a little over 4 hours. Pro Bill Kubinski made us all feel welcome. In the morning, there was complimentary coffee and donuts, and after golf, there were 3 bartenders in the bar area, and they fired up the outside grill for hot dogs and hamburgs. A great touch! Thanks to Bill and staff for a truly enjoyable day!
This course has some challenges
Considering the hot and dry conditions we have experienced this summer, the course was in great shape. Pace of play was a bit slow, but that could be attributed to the off/on rain showers.
Staff was very friendly and hooked up with a two-some on the 3rd hole and played the rest of the round with them. They are frequent players there.
Best condition ever!
I've been playing Westover for years, and it's in the best condition I've ever seen. If you haven't been here, or maybe in awhile, give it a look. Still one of the best tracks in our area.
Course in great shape
Course is in real good shape. Plays long. The fairways and greens are in great condition. Friendly staff. Love this course
Westover great condition
Good course nice people.
Great condition
First time here in 3 years- happy to be back!
It's a beauty- and definitely longer than most places in the area, either from the white tees or blue. You really need to be super accurate here or pay the price in the trees. Greens were first class. Bunkers had great sand and fairways are lush. Others are right- it's mostly flat. Pace of play was slow for 8am-11 on a Saturday, which was disappointing.. Only a handful of forced carries or doglegs to contend with. And the layout and direction between holes is probably the most straight forward of any course in the area. Will definitely be back when my driving is better!
Awesome value and course
I've played here for years because I think it checks all the boxes. Fun course, great value, the course is in excellent shape, and the staff are great. If you haven't played here in a few years, I would strongly recommend trying it again, as the course conditions have come back strongly. The food is really good, too, and I've found everyone who works there to be very friendly and accomodating.

Flat and long..
Been playing here for years, great course, long, easy to walk 90% flat. Greens in great shape but could be a little faster.
Good Value!
I live in the area and I play all the public and semi-private courses within 20 miles of my home. I've never been disappointed with the conditions at this course. I play the White tee boxes which are 6614 yards but if you're up for the challenge, the Blues are 7005. The greens hold approach shots well and are not too fast. More importantly, they're consistent for all 18. Some of the bunkers could use more sand and others had some large stones that should be raked clean. The practice putting green is large and true to the greens on the course. They have a nice driving range but they never use the back portion of the teeing area. Not sure what they're saving it for. There's a good 40 yards of teeing area and if they staggered it starting from back to front, they could keep all areas maintained and growing new seed. Unfortunately they only use a small section of the front which gets beat beyond repair during the season. Aside from these few gripes, you will not be disappointed if you choose to play here.
Excellent golf
I play there 8-10 times a season. Love this place. Its kept in very good condition.
Westover
Great course... Always in good shape
Great Fall Golf
The course was in great shape after raining for 3 days.
There was some standing water. If you're playing the weekend, you'll enjoy your round.
Love this course
Nice long course in great shape. Nice big greens. There's nothing bad to say about Westover
Hi "lynnladder" Thanks so much for the Excellent review!! We are so pleased that you enjoyed the course conditions and your round today.
Westover
Course was in good shape considering the time of year. Lots of leaves on fairways and greens made it a 5 ball day however.
Hi "patto" Thank you for taking the time to review our course. Please come back and play us again in the Spring!
