Over priced average customer service.
For $140 I expect perfect tee boxes that was not the case. For the price you are not allowed to bring f a cooler with water or food. They provide mediocre coolers with no ice that can’t fit a standard water bottle nor sandwich. Overpriced compared to courses in the area.
Nice track
This is always a nice course to play. unfortunately the last couple times playing here the pace was really slow for a mid week round of golf. Overall, it’s a good round of golf if you’re in the Plymouth area.
Lights out
Course is always in great shape. Staff works so hard to maintain top conditions. This course is more fun and welcoming than the other local courses. Keep it up.
Challenges on every hole
This course is deceivingly difficult. Just when you think your on an easy hole, you get to the green and it’s turns a birdie into a bogey in the blink of an eye. Only complaint I have about this course is the lack of options at the snack bar. It’s kettle chips or hot dogs and that’s it.
No Observers
I had high hopes for this course, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to a strict and poorly handled policy regarding non-playing riders. Our group of four asked if a fifth person could ride along. We offered to pay either a cart fee or even a full green fee. The staff flatly refused and insisted that having a non-playing guest is not allowed "anywhere," which simply isn't true. I've personally had observers join at numerous courses from local munis to prestigious tracks like Chambers Bay and TPC Sawgrass. While I understand every course has its own rules (and I respect that), what really rubbed me the wrong way was the disingenuous explanation. Instead of just stating it's their policy, they tried to pass it off as a universal standard, which it clearly isn't. That level of dishonesty, however small, made the experience feel unwelcoming.
There are plenty of great courses out there with more transparent and accommodating service. I won’t be returning.
Over priced as is, but it gets worse!
I’ve played Waverley a bunch of times, and they’ve now raised their price to $140. Such is the game nowadays.. SMH
I booked a foursome LAST minute through GolfNow, late Saturday night, for 6:57am Sunday. Clearly someone backed out and the course was looking to make their $560 for that slot.
One of my guys didn’t make it, I’m still not sure why, but on Monday I was charged the extra $140. So I paid $280 to play a round at Waverley, when I could’ve played THREE rounds at Crosswinds next door for less.
I understand a charge for cancelling without giving 24 hours notice, but when I book during the overnight prior to a crack of dawn round that someone else canceled, I can’t hold someone else’s hand and make sure they show up. There wasn’t even a cancellation window available, since I booked while the course was closed!
Sorry guys, I don’t work for you.. I love the course, have learned to deal with the terrible attitude from the starter Dan that always starts everyone’s round out on a bad note, but I have no problem never booked there again.. I’ll play, but not for $280
didnt play
Upon arriving I was told that for my wife to ride in the cart with me that she had to pay a complete green fee and cart fee.
There isn't anything to see or do around this course so I couldn't abandon her and I wasn't going to pay for a green fee when she wasn't playing. there were only two foursomes on the entire tee sheet. I understand a cart fee but this was silly.
