Waverly Oaks Golf Club

I've been playing Waverly ever since it opened. Although it's no longer in the pristine condition it used to be, the layout is still one of my favorites in MA, and the greens are kept in good shape. It can play as long as you want it, although the course plays much shorter than the card says, e.g. the 5th hole is listed as 515 yards on the score card, but often when I drive up to the tee the cart gps says the green is 460 or so yards away. The fairways are wide, and the greens are big, and often there are mounds that will help kick slightly wayward shots back into play.

My favorite golf course to play in New England the greens had been punched probably last week the front was fast the back was slow but overall I had a great time the staff was perfect and I came in under 100 very good day.

We were behind a slow 3 some all day! They obviously did not have any golf etiquette and did not play ready golf. We finished in 4.5 hours but could have been under 4 hours. The course needs to speed up play, as a 4some should not be on a 3 sones back all day !

We finished in 3 hours. Course was in good shape, but due to mother nature, it was cold and windy.

Only issue is sometimes they need rangers to speed up play. Many times, golfers should not be playing the tips and slow down others.

Beautiful challenging course, always in great condition.

Waverly continues to be the best course in the Boston area. Extremely interesting and fun layout, with plenty of opportunity to score well. Staff and amenities are great - best hot dog I've had in a long time!
