Stellar day
Lucked out and caught a hot deal here. From check in to the first tee the service was top notch. The starter, Jerry, made for a great start to our afternoon. Knowledgeable, friendly, and optimistic he kicked off a solid day. Course was awesome. Will be back soon.
Definitely one of best courses around
Rainy day but course was still in great shape. Staff was awesome and insanely accommodating from the second you get to the bag drop. Always nice when you get a cart, GPS, and range balls included in your GolfNow deal...will play this course again and again and again. Definitely beyond worth it

Player friendly course
A very player friendly course with some moderate challenges. Wide fairways but some challenging elevation changes. Greens and fairways in very good condition.

Great time
Played from the tips and definitely challenging from tee to green... my buddies and I range from 10-30 handicaps and everyone had a blast... bring some extra balls, literally and figuratively.

Fun course for mid-high handicaps
Course is in good shape.
Staff was helpful.
Carts are extremely nice, but they will sometimes beep at you for going to restricted area, even though you are on the path.
A lot of driveable holes that you can also hit anything else off the tee. Course layout is forgiving for people who struggle to keep it on the short stuff.
Greens were fast but really consistent.
Only negative was that there was a group in front of us that was extremely slow. We had a group on our tails but we were stopping at each tee, and we were still hitting into the group, even when our cart said we were 5 minutes behind on pace.
Thank you for the 5 stars. We appreciate your patience with the slow group. We are seeing many new golfers enjoying the game and are grateful when veterans of the sport show patience and support.
Good value
enjoyed waverly. The starter was great and clued us in for the round and big help.
Greens fine and good shape, no sand in cart to repair divots?
Peter, thank you for taking the time to review our course. We are glad that you had a great round. We always have sand in the carts for divot repair but your cart must have been missed that day. Thank you for bringing this mishap to our attention.
Don’t believe anything they say about Covid
Course conditions are fine. Pace of play was acceptable. But the staff does not care about the pandemic and disregards their own policies. As another reviewer has mentioned, none of them wear a mask in the pro shop, despite a sign on the door requiring them. In addition, their web site explicitly says that if someone doesn’t feel well that they should not come and a refund will be granted even though it’s outside of their normal cancellation timeframe. This happened to one player in my group, and the guy in the shop refused to refund the pre-paid greens fee, telling me that I should have called earlier and it was too late. I will never play here again.
We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. Waverly Oaks staff do indeed were masks in the golf shop when the public comes in. We are following all the guidelines put out by the state and take them seriously. During the Covid-19 pandemic our staff is following our adjusted cancellation procedures.
