Fun course for mid-high handicaps
Course is in good shape.
Staff was helpful.
Carts are extremely nice, but they will sometimes beep at you for going to restricted area, even though you are on the path.
A lot of driveable holes that you can also hit anything else off the tee. Course layout is forgiving for people who struggle to keep it on the short stuff.
Greens were fast but really consistent.
Only negative was that there was a group in front of us that was extremely slow. We had a group on our tails but we were stopping at each tee, and we were still hitting into the group, even when our cart said we were 5 minutes behind on pace.
Thank you for the 5 stars. We appreciate your patience with the slow group. We are seeing many new golfers enjoying the game and are grateful when veterans of the sport show patience and support.
Good value
enjoyed waverly. The starter was great and clued us in for the round and big help.

Don’t believe anything they say about Covid
Course conditions are fine. Pace of play was acceptable. But the staff does not care about the pandemic and disregards their own policies. As another reviewer has mentioned, none of them wear a mask in the pro shop, despite a sign on the door requiring them. In addition, their web site explicitly says that if someone doesn’t feel well that they should not come and a refund will be granted even though it’s outside of their normal cancellation timeframe. This happened to one player in my group, and the guy in the shop refused to refund the pre-paid greens fee, telling me that I should have called earlier and it was too late. I will never play here again.
We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. Waverly Oaks staff do indeed were masks in the golf shop when the public comes in. We are following all the guidelines put out by the state and take them seriously. During the Covid-19 pandemic our staff is following our adjusted cancellation procedures.

Great course but enter clubhouse at your own risk
With heavy rain in the forecast a member of our foursome bowed out. I had a disagreement regarding the forecast with a staff member and the “owner”... Neither were following Massachusetts state law by wearing a face covering indoors but were lecturing me on “policy”. I found them to be unhelpful and rude, but the disregard for public health was the most troubling part. I only hope their ignorance on this matter plays out better than their ignorance to calls for the heavy rain we ended up getting that afternoon that they were somehow incredulous at the idea that it was coming.
Second time here - really enjoyed myself again. Great layout, friendly staff, challenging but fair. Only complaint was bunkers were pretty rocky, not just scattered on top but sometimes buried to where your club could chip. Only small complaint, otherwise an excellent experience

Great course! Not the easiest to walk. But we all had a great day.
Glad you enjoyed your day. We do have a long, terrain changing course that gives challenges to every type of golfer especially when walking is required! Now that carts are allowed again we look forward to your return for another great round. Thank you for taking the time to rate our course.
Great layout
The course was in great shape for the time of year, especially the greens. Some of the holes were under construction but whatever it’s gonna look great when it’s complete. Fun and challenging, I’ll definitely be back. One of the all-time great‘s.

Awesome Course
Had a blast. Course was challenging but fair. In great condition. Greens are huge. Staff was very nice.
great opportunity to play
You need to keep the ball in the fairway to score good here as I had trouble on many holes but finished the last 4 holes with par's because they had been in the fairway and was rewarded with an 89 , I generally do not hit balls before tee off but today I should have.
I have played this course about 3 times and enjoy it when I get a chance to play, the staff are very nice and freindly and the upstairs area is a bonus at the end of the round.
Great Condition
Great to be able to play a beautiful course that is in pristine condition this late in the season (early November).
My only knock is the golf carts... although great to have GPS, electronic scoring, and pin placements, I was frequently beeped at, automatically slowed down, and occasionally stopped when attempting to go somewhere that was off a pre-defined area - a few times this restricted area was on the paved golf path - and my speed was slowed to 2 MPH. frustrating, not to mention a little remedial for golf guests who you should trust to know how to drive the cart properly.

This should not happen on a golf cart path and in the future please let us know right away so that we can check if there is an issue and correct it immediately. We look forward to your return.

Great layout greens were in great shape and fast was a wet day but was a great and enjoyable day
