Overpriced
Doesn’t look like the mgmt team has put any money into the course since it opened. The cart paths look like they’ve been bombed, they need some serious improvement. Also, the Grille is closed on Mondays & I believe on Tuesday’s also, so if you want something to eat make other plans after the round.
PACE
Course was fun and challenging. The rolling greens and fairways were fun. The only criticism, Do NOT let players walk. Carts only.
Price and Experience mismatch
Waverly is a nicely designed course that's maintained well enough but for the cost, it doesn't pencil out. Rangers don't enforce pace of play, no water on the course, and a nebulous clubhouse experience. There are better options and value elsewhere
Hi thanks for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear you liked the course. We have two rangers on everyday to help enforce pace of play. Our target pace is 4.5 hour rounds. We work hard to hit that target, especially on very busy days, but doesn't mean we always hit the mark. We appreciate the feedback and we'll take all this in to consideration. Nice start to the golf trip.
I booked an early afternoon tee time, on a day that projected early evening rain. I Warmed up on the nice putting green, and then slid over to the range to hit the complementary range balls.
I was paired up with another player as a twosome, then paired up with another twosome a few holes into the round.
The greens rolled smoothly and quickly. The fairways were plush, although, it would be nice if all players replaced divots or filled them with sand provided on the cart. My group was very good about it. The layout was fun and challenging. The elevation changes and views are beautiful.
I will play this course on every visit to the area.

Great course with five-star staff
I played this course twice during our annual trip to Scituate. Scituate is about an hour away and I enjoyed it so much the first time that I was willing to drive down again to play it a second time that week. The course conditions are really great and the staff are true service professionals. The outside staff were really great but in particular, Butch was phenomenal team member with a true service heart. I am a former golf, professional as well as a former Concierge at the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta. I always love meeting people who truly love to serve, and Butch was, as we would say at the Ritz-Carlton, “Five Star.” Eric in the shop was really a true professional too, but Butch really made a lasting impression on me. I cannot wait to come back next year. The rates are a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for.

Beautiful scenery - top class golf
Loved every bit of my round, coming from overseas and had to rent clubs. Decent shape of rental clubs, Callaway clubs, they got stiff and regular shafts to choose from. Loved the course.

Pace of play
Everything was fabulous, except for the pace of play 4:55 minutes. Front moved beautiful when we got to the back there were two groups on a Tee-box. I think the third group in front of us stopped in the clubhouse at nine and took their time. I didn’t see For the day any Ranger to move them on. Would not stop me from playing there again.

Undulations abound...
Might have to forget to enter the final stroke count to your MGA Handicap...but PLAY THIS COURSE...you will enjoy the surprises and have some great and enduring memories...
It starts with a small bucket of balls, to be driven at the range(free)...the view is marvelous, yet, mentally can lull one
...for, on the first tee to the last, the course fairways, bunkers and greens will fill your post round memories
...wide open fairways entice you to swing for the fences...to the nasty surprises of greens or, bunkers extending into the fairway landing areas
...to the multiple holes with elevation changes almost warranting an oxygen mask...along with a hole cut into the side of a "HILL" followed by its sister hole that follows on the top of the same "HILL"
...then landing on the green with a flop shop that should be in the middle to center scoring area..only to find it hit an unseen ridge(undulation) and stop just at the fringe...much like a number of drives/irons hitting 'ridge cousins'(lol)....
The course is in good shape as the season ramps up but alas, those fellow golfers who did not fill(the bottles are on the carts folks....) or repair their divots will increase as the season wears on...
But play this course...it is worth the effort and you will be tested...but, bring the phone along to snap some scenery
