Squirrel Run Country Club
About
Squirrel Run Golf Club offers some of the most scenic golf on the South Shore of Boston. The course is an executive layout that is gentle enough for beginners and even juniors to tackle with confidence. There are no par 5s on the golf course, most of the holes are under 140 yards. Even though you may not need distance, a strong short game will take you far on this course. Rough borders the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers framing the greensides. Squirrel Run Golf Club is a very forgiving golf course overall and it may not be the most formidable test but there are a few tricky holes, like the par-3 13th. This is the golf course's signature hole that plays from an elevated tee over water to a green that slopes from back to front, and if that wasn't enough, the entire hole is at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Beautiful
One of the better executive courses around. Fast pace of play, excellent condition.
Hot at the Squirrel
Very hot and humid. Glad the staff sent out a cart with water for sale. Had two bottles but needed the third to finish the course
Bring your 120 shot
First time playing and don’t let the short yardage fool you or stop you from playing here. Good test of accuracy all day long. Fun layout and good conditions. Greens ran a little slower than some of the big courses, but true to the break. With nobody in front of us, we played 18 in 2 hours. The 100-120 shot becomes redundant, but still a challenge on each hole with that distance (felt like at least half of them). The par 4s on the front are fun. Longer hitters can leave the driver in the car and really just work on hitting the greens. Will go back for that practice and to get revenge on a few of the holes.
Fast and friendly
Course was in great shape. Staff was cleaning fairways of debris from last nights rains. Very patient with the players
Good Course
My wife and I enjoyed this course. Greens were in decent shape but roll slower in my opinion. Some people were not fixing their marks. Tee boxes were decent. The course had some challenging green layouts which made it fun. Tee box and score card are way off. I played the blue tees and they seemed off anywhere between 15 to 30 yards so use your range finder. Something that surprised me was there didn’t seem to be any golfer edicate. People were wearing jeans, non collar tee shirts and even tank tops. We also saw people just skipping around and playing whatever holes they want. I know this isn’t the golf courses fault but for a higher priced executive course, I would expect better than flip flops, tee shirts, and backwards hats. Overall, I thought the course was great and I would play it again.
Great Father’s Course
First time playing Squirrel Run. Loved the layout mixed in some long par 4 holes. You can play a quick 9 in 1 hour 30 minutes or less. Will definitely be back to play again.
Friendly Staff
Great time, awesome staff. Many sections of grass under repair but glad to see they are sing improvements.
