"Jammed"
Staff was great, however tee times were stacked every 5 minutes! Impossible to attempt a comfortable round with any sort of rhythm because of the arduous waiting. Frustrated People coming off course after only 5 holes expressed their frustration & displeasure. No apparent rangers to regulate pace of play. Have lived in the and golfed in this area for over 25 years and have played the course several times, however I will not be playing it again. This was a special day with my son that fell short. The pro shop was good about returning our money, however I will not return.
Great course and friendly staff
I have to firstly justify the pace of play grade. Normally there isn't a problem, but this morning there was 6 x threesomes of junior boys on high school tryout, apparently their coach excels at teaching slow play.I got stuck behind them just after the turn, played 1-10 in 1hr 10mins and 11-18 in 2hours 50mins.Otherwise the course is great, nice mix of holes, the greens had been punched but played fairly well. The fairways were all in superb shape, ball rolled out well, bunkers seemed to be ok for sand and the layout is easy to follow and the course is quite walkable. Look forward to playing again before the season ends.
Great golf course
Atlantic Country Club is a terrific course. Plays harder then slope rating. Some of the holes have short yardage but you certainly have to place all your shots in the right area to par it.great condition too.
Great Day
We had a very enjoyable round at Atlantic. Fun course and tees for all abilities. The course was in really nice shape and the staff friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go back.
A solid Silva/Cornish design
I played this course in a tournament, so obviously it's a little tough for me to grade pace of play but the course itself was solid. Designed by two of the more famous golf course architects in New England the layout does give you some interesting holes but nothing extremely memorable. You will face some doglegs where you'll be hitting irons and hybrids off the tee so make sure you know your distances to the corner so you don't hit it through the doglegs. The greens were surprisingly a little slow for summer but then again I had just come back from Hilton head where they were lightning fast. The rougher on the greens is thick so be prepared to bring a lofted wedge to pop it out of this thick rough as your ball will fall to the bottom. Certainly not the best course in the town of Plymouth but if you're in the area and looking to play a few rounds maybe add this to the two courses at Pinehills and Crosswinds
