HIRING: Grounds crew
The course is a gem in and of its self. Great challenging layout from any tee box, beautiful scenery, great fairways, and lots of wild flower beds, etc.
The only real issue was that the greens have patches of fungus and several rough spots, and the place needed mowed and trimmed in the worst way. The 17th tee box had 2 weeks worth of grass standing on it. It didn’t affect play, but it takes away from what could be a top tier course.
Great course, tough layout, but needs some work
The greens need work, and a lot of mowing and landscaping work needs done. It’s too good of a layout, has great fairways, but the greens need work and a lot of areas are just unkempt, including a tee box or two.
This course is a couple of days of good groundskeeper work away from being true to its glory. The greens have some fungus that needs more serious care.
Friendly staff, good location, and again, great, challenging layout.

It was great to play golf in the month of March! Course and surroundings were nice. I will play there often after I relocate to Knoxville!
Great Location
We have played here several times in the past 20 years. Love this course especially in the fall when the leaves are at their peak. Lot's of wildlife to be seen while playing. Especially Wild Turkey. One of our favorite courses.

Mountain Golf
I loved the setting and the layout with great Smoky Mountain View’s and a wide variety of hole layouts. Fairways and tees were decent, but greens were quite shaggy with many rough spots. Also, no fringe cut around greens. This would be a 5 star if they can get the maintenance up to snuff.

Wild Laurel
Wild Laurel just keeps getting better and better! Have been making improvements daily to enhance the golfers enjoyment! Fairways were great and greens were rolling true! Mountains surround you with turkeys and an occasional bear rambling through! Terrific and then finish your round at the 19tb hole with an awe inspiring view of Mt. Leconte in the Smoky Mountains! Doesn't get much better than this!!!

Enjoyable day of golf. Greens were not in the best condition but the mountain scenery makes you ignore the greens.

Much improved
I am impressed. The last time I played here it was not in good shape. I can tell that they have worked on it. Greens are much better and they would be perfect if people would just fix their ball marks. Most fairways are good but some still need a little work. Overall I am very happy with how the progress is coming along. Hopefully it will one day be one of the best courses in the state because it certainly has the setting to be that.

Why????
And great clubhouse, great bar and awesome amenities. Greens were in good shape… Why, why, why do they not maintain fairways and tea boxes? We were the only ones on the course… They said because of the rain but I say it’s because they let the conditions deteriorate. Honestly, this course would be awesome… Great layout, cool elevations and visually interesting. Great selection of beers and drinks in the clubhouse… I would tell you to play there but just be prepared that if you’re 5 feet off the green and think you’re going to run the ball up there you’re gonna have to go through a small forest but o get there!
