Something has happened
I have played this course many times over the last twenty years. Since its recent purchase a few years ago it was becoming a better place to play. I was disappointed this week by the shape of the greens and the fairways. The greens appear to be under repair as they have been micro-punched and possibly re-seeded. Fairways have more weeds than in the past. my hope is that they are just now able to begin getting ready for the season and things will get much better. I will revisit the course in August and look forward to much better conditions
Disappointed
The greens were sanded which made it difficult to putt. We have played this course many times over the years and it was wonderful. The greens were also rough and we got behind some very slow players. Since it is early in the year I understand it will take a while to get the course in better shape.

It would have been nice to know
No information about punched and sanded greens. This is the third time booking my round through golf now In the late evening hours. I now know that I need to contact the course directly before booking through golf now. This course was excellent considering the harsh weather that has beaten this area this year.

Fun place
We had a great time there. Staff was friendly and accommodating in both the pro shop and restaurant. Still spring conditions and greens were just punched and sanded so course conditions were fair. Note a number of blind shots. Course knowledge is helpful. Beautiful views and lots of wildlife.

You get what you pay for
Nice club house but ground was hard not a whole lot of grass period greens were just air rated so there was a bunch of holes and they dumped a bunch of sand on them so it was like you were putting in a bunker on some. I would have to say tee boxes were the best part of the course drinks were good but hotdogs were ok if you didn’t eat the bun couldn’t even get my teeth through the bottom part of the bun

Course has a wonderful staff Great layout. Some of the greens need attention. Fairways are getting better. Great to play.

Wild Laurel Golf Course
Fairways were Dormant but still good for winter golf. Greens were slow with a few bare spots but rolled true. Great 19th hole to finish your round with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains!

They Are Trying
We keep coming back about once or twice a year to see if they have made any progress on the improvements we keep hearing that they are planning to make but each time we leave as disappointed as the time before. The greens are usually borderline unplayable with dead spots, weeds, etc. and when they actually have grass on them they are so shaggy and slow they are almost unplayable in that regard as well. Just so disappointing because this little course could be a little jewel if someone would just put some money and effort into it.
