Wild Laurel Golf Course

Lot of upgrades and staff was proactive in their Covid-19 protocols. Greens were rolling well even with recent top dressing. Fairways are still sparse with grass but it has been a cold spring so hopefully warmer weather will entice the grass to multiply. Overall a great day at Wild Laurel!

This is a mountain course with some pretty good elevation changes. Most of my rounds here the course has been pretty wet. The layout is good and the pro shop staff is friendly. Playing conditions are usually average or below due to the fairways not draining well. Pace of play is usually ok. The greens roll pretty well so I won’t complain about them. A few of the greens are small and. Some have plenty of undulations to read. There is usually a great deal for this course on Golf Now which is why it stays on my list. The fare ways are far from lush but what grass they have is ok. If you find yourself on a bare spot or moist spot you don’t have to roll it far to find some grass.

It is a beautiful course: fun and can be challenging Overall had a great time

Played here many times I personally like the people and the course If your looking for pristine conditions don’t go here. The grass has always been thin to none and rocky The bunkers are rock filled The greens are usually the best part of this course but had recently been punched I got a great deal and we still enjoyed the day Will I be back. Certainly Just temper your expectations

Course is in solid playing condition , ready for the dormant Bermuda to pop . It has little trouble with draining , but, we played day after heavy rains , so understandable . Greens are really nice , ready to be cut down to speed them up . Looks like management is really working hard with upgrades seen in new holemarkers as well as staff putting in work on the course . Come play it !

Fairways were awful. Layout was wonky. I Hit drives in the middle of the fairway and there’d be no grass there. Without seed this will not get better by late spring/summer. Same way around the greens, though the greens themselves were decent. Probably won’t be back. There are much better courses in the area for less money.

Not bad for the money! Good layout and rate of play. Course was very wet when I played...but it's March so understandable. Thanks you!

Beautiful day for golf. Fairways were wet after a lot of rain but playable. Greens were slow but rolled well. Clubhouse had great sandwiches and adult beverages which included craft beer! Very enjoyable day at Wild Laurel!

Greens are in the best shape in years, course is going through major improvements and will continue to get better. But..they started us off the back, then just as we were finishing the back nine, we came to the turn and they were starting some people off the front, slowed play tremendously. Front or back, take a pick, can’t go both.

After fog lifted beautiful day for golf. Temperature in low fifties. Course was wet but all golf courses are wet in January. Staff was doing a lot of work on course today including putting new sand in the bunkers. Greens were rolling well. A great January day for golf.

Nice Day for golf in January. Course is making a lot of improvements. New hole signs, landscaping, etc. Greens are improving and rolling well. Just a great winter day in the mountains playing golf. Nineteenth hole was great also looking at the mountains while enjoying a sandwich and refreshments! Thank you Wild Laurel for providing your guests with a great experience! .

Course was in pretty poor shape although it had just rained the day prior. No practice range which was a bit disappointing. Staff was friendly and the course was wide open so I was able to get through a round in about 2.5 hours. Wouldn’t recommend unless you get a heavily discounted rate

Beautiful winter day in the mountains. Perfect day for golf with temperature in the fifties with no wind. Fairways were a little wet but very playable. Greens were rolling good. A very enjoyable day to play golf in January. After the round had a delicious sandwich with a brew overlooking the Smoky Mountains. Thank you Wild Laurel for your hospitality!

What a beautiful day in the Mountains for golf. 65 degrees. Gorgeous day after Christmas. Greens are getting better every time we play. Lots of improvements. What more could you ask for. Thank You Wild Laurel for all the improvements!!.
