Good course
The course is in fairly good condition. Some maintance problems . Not the same course as in the past.Looks as if the fairways have not been maintained as in the past. The sand traps need conditioning.
The course was challenging
Enjoyed the course. Scored well. The drive to the course from Pigeon Forge was not the best. Very curvy blind spots. Nice carts. Would play again if in the area.
Nice blind hole on tee 1 and the greens were in great shape.
Fairways did not have much grass in them but other than that it was a pretty nice course.
Great views
Considering the area is experiencing drought conditions fairways were bare in spots but greens were excellent. It was moderately challenging& very enjoyable. The views were beautiful. Facilities were nice . I will definitely return.
scenic course
Beautiful drive to get there. Golf in nature. Few houses on the course and these houses are not really coming into play. Sand traps will need a bit of work. Maintenance people were very friendly. Views are spectacular.
A Day at Laurel Valley
I've played here before and was looking forward to returning. I got a great deal through GolfNow, which made it even better. Unfortunately we got behind a group of eight, many of whom appeared to have never played before. The round was 5 hours and we waited on every shot. Overall the course was in bad need of rain, with many of the fairways brown and cut very short. You almost looked forward to being in the rough because you could at least get a club under your ball. We did see the beverage cart often, which was a plus.
Laurel Valley is a great course. I just hit it at a bad time.
Rainy Day at Laurel Valley
Nice coarse. Can't wait tip summer for fairways and green side grass to grow in.
Beautiful views
Very Challenging but beautiful course. Spectacular mountain views.
Fred and the boys
They need to keep this course and all facilities open . A great mountain course should not be far sale. What about the home owners.
Nice, fun course
A very nice course which, at first glance,, does not appear too difficult but will challenge you all the way around. It does not unduly punish you for poor shots but only rewards you for good shots; there are very few holes where you can eke it out. Back 9 is much more difficult than the front 9 and there are at least six holes (1, 6, 9 12,13, & 14) that can humble you. Well worth the greens fees and extremely scenic and quiet. Only advice is that in summertime, wear some time of insect repellent as it can get quite buggy, being in the mountains.
Fun mountain course
This mountain course is very scenic, staff is friendly and the rate is quite reasonable. The greens were very smooth and the fairway grass is coming in after a long cold spring. It's always a pleasure to play Laurel Valley.
I totally enjoyed this golf course!
This golf course will not present much of a challenge to a scratch golfer. However, anything less than a scratch golfer will really enjoy this golf course. The front nine is fairly straight, but the back nine is a little mountainous. The golf course is well-maintained and the scenery is beautiful. I would play this golf course again in a heartbeat. If you hit the ball reasonably well, you'll love this golf course as much as I did.
Great /Fun/Golf
I love this course. Looks easy and benign. No, no, no! A real fun challenge. A great layout with subtle elevation changes and a multitude of green changes, some easy and flat, other requiring excellent reads. I highly recommend Laurel Valley!
smoky mountain golf
the course is in good condition for this time of year.
There are some tight fairways and dog legs both left and right to add to the challenge.
November is not the ideal time for a course in the mountains. The fairways were cut short for winter and had little "cushion" to hit from. The first cut was actually the better place to land. The greens were very well maintained. With 10 minute tee times we never saw anyone in front or behind us. There are a few holes with significant dog legs both left and right that add to the challenge.
Great Views and nice location
Enjoy having a course near the National Park and this one offers some beautiful views, well maintained course, and a nice restuarant.
the course has some great holes
the course was well maintained. the greens were in super shape. the scenery around the course was very nice. I will play the course more.
good layout but some tough holes
I liked the course but it is not very senior friendly, some of the holes are too long for average players. also, some of the greens have a lot of bare spots.
Pretty course
This is a nice course. There are a lot of blind holes and narrow fairways but it was very nice. There was some areas with heavy cut grass and leaves which made it difficult to find you're ball in the fairway but overall it was nice. We got behind a foursome and they were taking their time which made play slow. There were no rangers either so we were stuck all day but it was nice. We saw about a dozen wild turkeys off the cart path which was a treat and a bear on our way out during the drive home.
Beautiful views and nice clubhouse with great food. Many greens were in rough shape and heavily sanded.
I have played here several times and enjoy the wonderful valley and mountain views. Course was not in as good of shape as earlier in season. They had several greens that were struggling but they were working on them. Cannot complain too much as we got a great price the day we played. Clubhouse is very nice with great food and friendly staff.
