Pretty course

This is a nice course. There are a lot of blind holes and narrow fairways but it was very nice. There was some areas with heavy cut grass and leaves which made it difficult to find you're ball in the fairway but overall it was nice. We got behind a foursome and they were taking their time which made play slow. There were no rangers either so we were stuck all day but it was nice. We saw about a dozen wild turkeys off the cart path which was a treat and a bear on our way out during the drive home.

Beautiful views and nice clubhouse with great food. Many greens were in rough shape and heavily sanded.

I have played here several times and enjoy the wonderful valley and mountain views. Course was not in as good of shape as earlier in season. They had several greens that were struggling but they were working on them. Cannot complain too much as we got a great price the day we played. Clubhouse is very nice with great food and friendly staff.

scenic course, fun to play

Very nice course. Beautiful surroundings, the course is overall well maintained--a few greens had some rough areas as others have mentioned. I liked the course and will definitely be back to play again.

Beautiful mountain scenery around this course makes even a poor round good.

The course is in a mountain valley with great views. It offers generally challenging fairways which reward accuracy off the tee. With numerous opportunities to find water or other unplayable lies, club selection is critical. My one criticism is that some of the greens are suffering from bare spots likely the result of disease. Otherwise, the course is well manicured. The staff is friendly and club facilities are excellent.

Beautiful scenery

The greens needed mowing. The height of the grass was too much. I may have misunderstood but I think I was told they only mow them on Thursdays.

Mountain Top

Nice course with an awesome view from the club house. This course seems to play longer than whats on the card, could of had something to do with the elevation changes. The first 9 were in much better shape then the back. Several of the greens were in pretty bad shape with bald spots.

Beautiful course, stunning views

Laurel Valley is beautiful course with stunning views no matter where you are. From the second you walk into the club house to the time you return your cart, you feel like you are in a different world. The course is moderately challenging with some tight fairways, and the greens need a little bit of attention at some holes, but otherwise, I would highly recommend Laurel Valley to golfers of all levels.

Greens in bad shape, gnats awful

The overall experience at Laurel Valley was below average at best. I was warned about the insect problem before going but had no idea it was as bad as it was.

Its not Laurel Valley's fault with the bugs, but some greens were almost completed dead from heat and disease. Some fairways you could not tell where the rough started and fairway ended. The conditions are the worst I have played this year.

Great s scenery on a good layout

Wonderful little charm tucked into a very scenic valley. The course is well laid out with ample landing areas for your tee shot. The course is well maintained. There were some minor issues with the greens due to the excessive rain this year, but the pin placements took many out of play. Enjoyable course, would play again.

Laurel Valley

The fairways are in as good a shape as I've seen, and I've been playing LV for quite a few years. Was really disappointed in the greens. The bare spots were frequent and in several places, dominated the green. I would've chosen hole locations further from the dead spots.

A Diamond In The Rough Next To The Smoky Mts.

This is not a course that you want to walk. It is located near Townsend TN and is in the foothills to the Smokey Mts. After 10AM is best tee times because of the early morning fog. The clubhouse was renovated two years ago. Ground was very soft the day I played because of rainfall the past 18 days. You could not play most courses with that much rain, but it was in great condition considering the rain.

Great Value and Super friendly staff...bring the family to enjoy the pool while you golf!

I've played this course quite a few times and I'm never disappointed in the conditions or pace of play. The greens are sticky and roll true. We checked in and were given a 3rd card to tote around 2 wives watching. We had a first timer in the group (my 13 year old cousin) and was given 12 balls that they regularly retrieve from the woods. Considering the amount of rain that we've been getting the course was still in fabulous shape. Come see the great views of the smokeys and keep your eyes out for Turkey running around. Thanks guys!

Course in poor condition

I read other reviews and seen that this was a Country Club and Resort course and thought I would give it a try. Although the staff was very friendly and the course had several nice views I would not recommend this course. The fairways were chewed up and the ruff was filled with crab grass and clover. There were lots of blind shots and that is OK if you like to poke and hope. We found the layout to be poor at best. In all honesty, my back yard is in better shape. You could do better for your money at other area courses.

Outstanding value with excellent scenic.vistas!

The course was an excellent value. Has some of the most beautiful scenery in this region. Two greens on the back nine were in trouble from scalding and need repair. Restaurant fare and staff is excellent and very friendly. We were surprised that the course was as I crowded as it was for a Saturday afternoon. We will definitely return for more golf.
