Beautiful setting
My son & I played this course for the 1st time on Saturday . We loved the bear sign at the entrance and enjoyed playing all 18 holes. Only disappointment would be that no water coolers were available on any of the holes.
Scenic mountain course
The staff was friendly, the course was in good shape. Fun, yet challenging and a good value! Very nice atmosphere with beautiful scenic views.
Wow and not in a good way
First of all the staff was awesome, top notch! The course was not fun, very confusing tees and signage. Pace was good. Lots of bear scat, I'm not saying pick it up, but maybe push it off tee boxes and greens. As far as course, it is tight and tough, so if you are looking for a challenge this might be for you, I just wouldn't pay full price for green fees.
beautiful secenry
played 18 holes the course was in great condition the staff was very nice and helpful, did not have food but i am sure it would be great
ps had a great time and will ho back.
Great views
After many years visiting the Seiverville Tenn area this was the first time we played the course. It is very female friendly which my wife enjoyed. There are some very challenging par 3's. We played during the week and the pace was excellent. This is not a resort course but was great to play for the value.
beautiful setting the mountains
good course, will be fantastic in the fall, fairways in good shape greens a little fuzzy, wildlife abundant, wildflowers as well
golf vacation
Really nice course. The club house staff could be friendlier as they seemed kind of put off by having to engage patrons.
Much improved fairways
Course was reseeded early this year and drought stunted growth. Now the fairways are excellent. I find the course challenging. 1st hole is narrow fairway which twists left then right to green. I find the greens on small side with some slope which challenges the average golfer. Great views!!!
Very unprofessional
I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone now after the very myself and nephew were treated. Was a rainy morning and it was suppose to quit, we tried going out but after 4 holes rain got harder and course conditions were horrible so we went back in and asked for a rain check to play when it was better and was told we couldn't have one cause we tried to play. We are from her so imagine if they treated us like that, how they might treat someone on vacation trying to play there. I will never go back there again or recommend this course to anyone ever!!!!!!!!
Laurel valley
Fun layout. Accuracy over length on tee shots. Greens held really well and putted true. There's no range (not really room for one). Staff was friendly. Overall good experience.
Great views and relaxed environment
Greens were in real good condition, fairways are in good condition but with different kinds of grass.
If you are straight hitter it is wide open course with great layout. It is quite relaxing to enjoy beautiful views of mountains.
A Hidden Gem!
Wow! This course is set in a valley surrounded by mountain views and wide prairie landscapes. It has it all elevated drops, narrow fairways on some holes, water and sand placed precisely to challenge your game and test your accuracy. Hole one is a par five that will require a postional tee shot in order to have any chance at saving the hole. Every hole has sometime to contend with that will challenge the skill of every level. You will certainly be impressed by the course layout.
nice visit
We had a good round there.. greens were in good shape just slow.. we will play there again. The cart clutch is going out on it..
Really enjoyable course
Played from the blues, the course plays challenging from the blues, fairways are narrow. This wouldn't affect you if you are playing the whites not needing longer drives. The course condition was really quite good. The desk person said that they are caring for the course better this year, might be because they are trying to sell the place. All and all, I enjoyed this course, we would come back in a heartbeat, being in the area and at Golfnow prices. One thing that was a little problem was finding the place. When you see the sign for 1.7 miles to the course, I don't think the sign correctly directed you to turn. We went 1.7 miles further and didn't see the course, we went a couple miles further then backtracked to the sign. The sign from the other direction did say to turn and we were OK after that. Good thing we were early and made our tee time.
Laurel Valley Improving
I have played this course for years and seen it neglected in the recent past. The course was in the best shape that I have seen in probably 2-3 years and greatly improved from this time a year ago. The greens have recovered and are in good shape, the sand traps are being maintained again, and some grass is finally growing in the fairways again. The course still needs work but if the ownership continues to try to take care of the course I think it could be in great shape in another year or so. I don't care about restaurants and bars and would love to see all of the resources applied to maintaining the course. About the only thing the 19th hole is good for is over priced drinks but has a fantastic view. Daniel, Micah, Pat, and most all the guys that work in the shop and the course are great.
Laurel Valley is in a beautiful setting and it is good to see the course making a comeback.
One of the other reviewers mentioned the homeowners. The homeowners own no interest and have absolutely no control over the golf course.
18 Hole Play
Great course, great challenge.
Only suggestion the course support drink cart while players in play. Very hot days need drink support
Great course. Will play again.
It's a great course. Beautiful scenery and a great price. Love going to laurel valley.
Don't over think it...
This is a relatively straight, flat course for this region. A few of the par 5's are reachable in 2, so just step up and swing.
very pleasantly surprised
played the day after playing Bent Creek....it was like playing Augusta after playing a municipal. Great fair layout greens in excellent condition ...this is the kind of course I could play everyday
kids on the course
I was not happy about the group ahead of us. They had 2 small children not old enough to play golf running around the course and playing on the greens. We dont need this on the golf course.
