Wild Laurel Golf Course

Great mountain course...variety of holes....greens are good but very slow.

Was raining off and on. We arrived early and the rain let up. They let us go right on out and were very accommodating. I love the course layout. The sand traps are not well maintained, but otherwise the course is beautiful. Greens are slow but true. There are many yardage markers so suggest a golf range finder. Wish it were closer to my house. Would play more often.

Been playing there 5 years. Course needs much attention to tee boxes and fairways. Now was told that the course will stop honoring Golf Now. That will be sad.

First time playing here. Staff is incredible. No driving range. But does have a putting green. Course was very wet from the storms. Bermuda has not yet grown in on a lot of the holes. Greens were very nice. Memorial weekend was crowded and play was slow, but met some really nice people. Saw lots of deer, turkeys, and a huge black bear. Will definitely go back.

The course I'd great, but has not been maintained lately. The fairways have bare patches and weeds and lots of places are overgrown. I hope it's repaired because it is truly an amazing course when it's in good shape.

This has been my favorite local course for some time, but this round was the worst condition I have ever seen it in. They are getting lots of weeds in the fairways and lots of bare spots too. The greens are still in good shape, but hadn't been mowed so they were very slow. The bunkers look like they haven't been raked in months. Not sure if their course superintendent left or what happened, but it needs addressed soon. I hope they fix it because the layout, setting, and wildlife at this course is unmatched.

We played as a twosome on a Monday, which is typically when mowing, etc. Is done. Given all the rain in the area recently, the grounds crew was doing their best to take care of the MUCH NEEDED mowing while trying to stay out of the patrons' way. Their efforts deserve praise.

Since the last time I played here, some improvements have been made. Not the least of these is more clearly marking the holes.

Overall, the course is a good value for a mountain course that gets tourist play.

Overall my experience here was a pleasant one The staff were all super friendly and seemed to be actually happy to have people there The course could use a little maintenance by think it was in the process of at that time. The layout was pretty good and the fact that it was in a very serene environment among the mountains was pretty nice.

This course used to be decent at best. It has gone so far downhill now that it's almost not worth playing. Tee boxes are horrible. Fairways look more like cow pastures. Pace of play is always horrible. Got behind a sixsome last time I played here. Don't wait your time!

The course layout is interesting and pretty challenging but the greens were overgrown and very slow. The fairways were a little sparse with grass in spots. I have no idea why it was cart path only because the fairways weren't worth protecting. Ok, but kind of a disappointment. I must admit the clubhouse staff were very friendly and the clubhouse is very spacious and comfortable. Too bad about the greens.

I’ve played this course several times. I enjoy the layout. My biggest complaint is that the course was unkempt. Needed mowing all over. Greens were inconsistent with new growth slowing putts down dramatically. I realize the growing season is just beginning but the fairways had lots of tall tufts of grass that just needed mowing to improve playing conditions.

Getting to the course was an adventure.

Challenging course. Sand can definitely get in your way. Early in the season so the fairways and greens need work. They have some fun holes..

Getting there was an adventure. The course has a fun layout. The condition was OK. But it should improve with warmer weather.

Fairways are really rugged. Not much grass to hit off of. Greens are shaping up. T boxes so so. I play there one or twice a week at least. Hoping it gets better. 🙏

The course is set in a very pretty valley with abundant wildlife virtually walking around you as you play- turkey , geese, etc. a nice layout but the course apparently does not have a sprinkler system and could use some fertilizer and grass seed as well as general repairs- our group is made up of high handicappers so the condition did not hurt our score. Employees were very friendly and accommodating.

The greens were in great condition. We are just getting out of winter golf. The ground is still too soft for taking divots but in a month the fairways should be perfect. I really like the layout of the course. I look forward to golfing here again.

Played here for years! Poorest shape ive ever seen it. No grass on fairways. Greens are exceptsble. Tee box poor shape. A big decline! Was improving a couple of years ago! New owners????
