Course is ok but rough around all the edges
Fairways overgrown in quite a few places. Some of the greens have fungus or green rot. Bunkers are very bad, hard, weeds growing in them. Play there quite a bit The course needs some Love and Attention
SLOW
Course conditions were sub par. Most of the greens were rolling alright with some dead spots. Fairways and the rough were virtually the same grass/weeds. Tee boxes were cut too high and made hitting irons off the par 3s and some par 4s difficult. Bunkers were just rocks and mud in some spots. The overall layout is chaotic with some tee boxes hitting over or in very close proximity to other holes/teeboxes. Keep your head on a swivel through the middle part of the course. Definitely not worth the green fees with the condition the course is in. If you do end up playing it, BRING BUG SPRAY. There's a healthy gnat population.

Wild Laurel is WILD
Wild turkeys, deer, and bears! Course had good views of Smokies and was in good shape. It was cart path only which didn’t really seem to be necessary on most holes. Oh well, a few extra steps shouldn’t hurt anybody. Clubhouse house was very nice. I had late lunch at the bar and the chicken salad sandwich was awesome.
The 3 beards were crossing the road into a wooded are and headed near some backyards of houses. I wasn’t fast enough to get my camera up in time to get all three, but I did get one picture I’ll share. Reminds me of when I lived in Florida and many of the visitor golfers scrambled to get their pictures taken with the alligators.

Greens were in great shape, fairways were a little long due to all of the rain the course had received in past weeks, I love the layout, it makes you hit different shots, overall I would definitely recommend this course.

Needs some TLC
It’s not a bad layout but is not well maintained. Greens and fairways need work. If you’re a good golfer, avoid.

Needs maintenance
This course is in a very pretty spot. Unfortunately, the course condition does not match. The fairways have way too many weeds! Tee boxes are quite worn, a common problem. Several blind tee shots along with rough areas that are somewhat overgrown, makes balls disappear with annoying frequency.

BUGS
I know it was the Smokey Mountains in the summer but, the bugs were awful, The course was in excellent shape and the staff were great. I know there are idiots everywhere and we followed 4 of them during our round. I know people drink when they play and that's their business. But when you ride your clubs like stick horses yelling like crazy, that's way too much.

Waste of an hour drive
The fairways are in rough shape to put it nicely. Not to mention after my round I went to the bar and sat for 10 minutes without getting any service while the bar tender shot the breeze with his co-workers. Just got up and left. Don’t let how nice the club house looks the couse doesn’t match

Fun course to play
I’ve played this course many times and really enjoy it. Not in the greatest shape but still enjoyable. Lots of wildlife!

Best mountain course
Out of the many to choose from, this course represents the best in a well maintained, beautiful mountain course. Except for a few spots on the fairways, the course was in excellent condition. Greens were smooth and true, tee boxes were in good condition. The grill is open till 7, unlike many the close before you finish your afternoon round!, and the food was excellent as well as the friendly service. We would play this course over and over again if we were staying in the area.

Great course tucked in the Smokies
Beautiful course in a valley of the smokey mountains. Course is in great shape and a fun one to play. Clubhouse is very nice with an excellent bar overlooking the course and the mountains. Staff is always helpful and friendly, and it’s not too expensive to play either. Would recommend this course to anyone! The views are insane!

Overall this course was a great bang for your buck. My only complaint would be the swarming gnats that you battled on most holes.

Rainy day but great
While it had rained all day prior and leading to us, we decided to risk it and go for playing. The course, while soaked, it was in great shape. A couple greens had some bumps and dead areas around the edges, but overall this is one of my favorite courses in the area.
