Wild Laurel Golf Course
Fairways were Dormant but still good for winter golf. Greens were slow with a few bare spots but rolled true. Great 19th hole to finish your round with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains!

They Are Trying
We keep coming back about once or twice a year to see if they have made any progress on the improvements we keep hearing that they are planning to make but each time we leave as disappointed as the time before. The greens are usually borderline unplayable with dead spots, weeds, etc. and when they actually have grass on them they are so shaggy and slow they are almost unplayable in that regard as well. Just so disappointing because this little course could be a little jewel if someone would just put some money and effort into it.

Wild Laurel
Great day for winter golf in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains! Fairways we're dormant but playable. Greens were ok. 19th hole was great with food and beverages!

Good golf. Awful greens
Play here a lot but the greens have become quite miserable. The rest of the course is rather nice, especially for the price.

Beautiful Mountain View’s - but could not finish round.
I like this course and it has beautiful view and good layout. But we were not able to finish our round because carts had to be in by 6:30 which was 1/2 hour before sunset. We were not told that when we checked in and we’re on a 4.25 hour pace with a foursome and had even let several singles play through. Disappointing.
Overall course was in ok shape except most greens had significant weed growth making them bumpy.

Greens are dead
The greens were in horrible shape. Every single one had major dead spots. Fairways were long and the rough have been mown with so much grass clippings left behind. I’ve played here many times and I’ve never seen it in this shape. Very disappointing when I brought out of town friends to play. The staff is great the bar is fantastic with views of the Smokies but the golf left a lot to be desired. Granted it was only $25 but I would’ve been much happier paying $50 for a course in good condition.

Horrible shape
Honestly I like this course. It was just in such poor shape this time. Many of the greens were 50-80% dead, rock hard, and generally in very poor condition. The tee boxes were also so hard we had to try several spots just to get a tee in the ground.
I was just completely disappointed in the conditions.
The bar is fantastic with amazing views of the Smokies. Staff was friendly. Some great spots to visit in Townsend.
