A nice day on the course
Course is in great late summer condition, with a casual ease of play. Staff is friendly, layout is open and for a public course it is a lot of fun to play. Greens are large and light on challenges but an enjoyable outing.
Great course
Awesome place nice people and the club restaurant has amazing food. My only complaint is no carts are allowed in the parking lot. This means you have to Cary your clubs to the car not a big deal but most places don’t care
Michigan Meadows
For the amount of rain we've had the course wasn't in that bad of shape. First time I played there, challenging with a lot of water holes. Would definitely go back.
Bad course, unfriendly staff
Most holes were a crater field, all the tee boxes were horrendous, and the greens were pretty bad as well. The staff in the clubhouse were not friendly nor welcoming. Overall a very bad experience, will not be back, and would not recommend.
Needs a ranger
Nice course, except for some recent high water damage. Challenging enough to be interesting, but not stupid difficult. The major problem with my round was far too many hubbies/boyfriends trying to teach spouses/girlfriends how to play while backing up other groups/players.
Mehhh
Pace of play was bad, there was a triple 4some playing 4 holes ahead that slowed the entire course down. Can’t understand why that was even allowed in the first place. Fairways probably hadn’t been cut in a week or more, same with the tee boxes and even a few of the greens. Just meehhhh of a course.
Just okay
Michigan Meadows has a decent layout and some challenging holes, but overall is just okay. Bumpy cart paths and old bunkers/sand traps that are now just overgrown weeds and grass. With any rain they become tiny ponds and a haven for mosquitoes.
Could be great
Used to be one of my favorite courses to play.. good layout for your average golfer and can’t beat the price. They always have great staff in the clubhouse and bar! The problem is, there is no maintenance at all right now.. losing balls in the fairway because it’s closer to a cut of rough than fairway.. tee boxes and greens are in really bad shape.. with some maintenance it could be restored to one of the great amateur courses in st Clair county.
Mosquitos and dust
Millions of mosquitoes and flies in the course, I didn't bring repellent and got bited really badly.
The unpaved gravel cart path generates a lot of dusts, our golf bags were covered full of dust.
All the bunkers turned into weedy smelly ponds due to lack of maintaines. I guess that's why there are lots of mosquitoes in the course.
