Pierce Lake Golf Course

The Pierce Lake course is a really good track with a nice mix of holes to challenge all players. From the open front to the narrow back. But pay attention to your landing zones and angles on several holes that “appear” wide open. Holes like 1, 5, 10, 11, 15, and 16 need some strategic thought depending on your tee box.

Course has played wet a lot this year... drainage issues????

Why did you take away holes on the practice putting green? A move in the wrong direction IMHO.

Driving net and better chipping areas would move my rating to 5 stars. A couple other suggestions too:

Add a fairway clear bell to #15 and steps down to #18 would add some nice features to an already good course to help pace of play that can vary quite a bit.

Our home course. We play from men's forward White tees, which greatly reduces forced carries over wetlands prevalent from Blue/Yellow/Black tees but still has plenty of challenge. Holes are separated from each other usually by trees. Nice natural setting, with the noise from I-94 only on the holes adjacent to the freeway. Course is always in great shape - even through this year's hot, dry summer. Friendly club house and on-course staff.

Course was in good shape. Features several challenging holes. Some very large greens. 5 sets of tees so you can select the one fits your game. Friendly staff. We had great time. First time playing here and we will for sure be back.

Visiting from Tennessee. What a "Hot Deal". Had a great time playing this course. Pleasantly surprised to find that this course was so much fun to play and in terrific shape. The greens are large and just the right speed. Not too fast nor too slow and they're in good shape w/out a lot of ball marks. If you keep the ball in the fairway i found it to be pretty easy. The vegetation just outside the fairway is thick and tall. I'm a 12 handicap and i shot 84 today. Could have scored 2 -4 strokes better if i'd chosen iron or 3 wood off the tee on several holes. There are a few holes that'll deceive you the first time playing. Oh, GREAT friendly staff from pro shop to maintenance staff. Definitely will play again.

I love this course! It reminds me of being up North just miles away from home. The course is in great condition with nice variety in the hole layout.

I played yesterday and shot 84. Today I was staring at a 75 but tripled #17 to finish with a low round of the year 78. I mean any one can score well when the course is in perfect condition. In spite of no rain for almost a month, the course is in great condition. I hate to recomend this course to anyone because I want it for myself. But the truth is, one of the best in Mi for the last 5 years. Make it a must play this year. Thank you Pierce staff for a great course and friendly staff.

Excellent greens, challenging layout and good pace of play. Very nice course, we would play it again.

Played here many time.. have never disappointed. Good lay out , this time green was slow though but still enjoyed the round.. staff are friendly and curtious.

Love playing this course, always feels like I'm up north!

This course has everything a golfer would like from a challenging layout to excellent staff. All at a fair price per round. The only thing lacking is a better chipping area to warm up and no driving range or net.

It is always a challenge to play this course.

The weather was extremely hot, but the inherent challenges here causes one to focus on each hole. Had a very good round that moved along nicely. Professional staff! Highly recommended!

Although was cart path only the golf course condition and layout made up for the inconvenience of playing path only.

Pierce Lake Gilf Course continues to be the Gem of SE Michigan. I hate giving excellent reviews because more people will come to play crowding my home course, but you have to give credit where credit is due. This is the nicest well kept course in SE Mich. year after year. The staff are very friendly and take great pride in the course and people that come to play. I feel very priv.to have this course in my back yard. The greens are rolling really well my guess would be a 10 to 11 on the stimpf meter and the fairways are in perfect condition. My hats are off to the staff and will play again and again. They have tee boxes for every level. If i had any gripes, i would like to see a more active starter and Rangers enforcing the cart path only rule when the course has had so much rain recently. I saw a Marshall once in my round and no enforcement on the group behind and in front of our group. Enforcement of the local rules are very important to maintaing the perfect playinv conditions the grounds crew has created. Once again, Hats off to the Grounds Crew.
