Pierce Lake Golf Course

Great course but was not at all happy with the roll of the ball on the greens. Wish I had known before booking. But it is what it is. Ya gotta do maintenance.

The grounds crew works very hard and when the course greens have healed it will be a great course as it has been the last 4 or 5 years.

First time playing this course. Fortunately we were paired with another Golfnow user who gave the layout of the holes as we played. Great mixture of long/short, easy/hard holes. Will definitely be returning to play here again.

This is one of my favorite courses, I have not played here in two years and I was amazed at the condition of the course, greens were perfect, fairways were perfect, tees were in good shape. It was an outstanding day.

The weather was great and the course was in great shape except for the greens. The greens were really soft and many people hit into the green but did not do a very good job of fixing their divots. The greens could be a little faster. I was surprised at the slow pace of play in the back nine. Usually the marshal speeds you along but did not see one Saturday. Other than that I had a great time with my son and played a great course for a really great price

Course was in great shape and the weather was absolutely fabulous. I wish I could say the same about my game. Can't wait to get back there again.

Always enjoy playing at Pierce Lake. Staff is outstanding and the course is in great shape year round.

Everything was excellent except for the cart paths. They really need to invest in making the paths better than they are or remove them entirely. The paths were pretty rough.

Had a great day at Pierce Lake Saturday. Play slowed down due to the group ahead of us but the Ranger was nice enough to move them along. I would recommend this course to anyone. Staff was very friendly.

SO I got a great Hot Deal this morning so it was a no brainer. I played during the 1st Michigan home game so pace of play may not be typical.

I showed up 45 min before my tee time to warm up only to find out that there wasn't a driving range. There was no chipping on the putting green so that meant only a few putts before heading out.

I got out as a single in front of 4-some so I played quickly. A group let me play through on 4 and I paired up with another single. The 2 of us played 27 holes in 4 hrs.

The tee boxes were mostly level and had good coverage. There were a few divot but with the long par-3s it wasn't bad. The fairways had good coverage and minimal divot damage. There were some pitch marks on the greens but they roll well with good speed. The greens were tough with some big ridges and elevation changes. only real complaint was that the speed on the back was slower than the front.

The first few holes looked tight but were actually fairly open in the landing area. With the 6 segments on each green it was easy to plan an approach. The greens held well. The tee shots were intimating with several shoots and optical illusions. There were many forced carries on tee shots, par 3s and approach shots forcing layups on a few par 5s.

The staff was friendly but not overly helpful. The staff in the snack shop was watching the game when we made the turn but the service was quick and polite.

This county run course was meticulously landscaped and beautiful. Rough was dry as is normal for this time of year but led to good distances. While we rented a cart, you easily could have walked...a good distance but no significant climbs. Received a treat as the Blue Angels practiced for a show at Willow Run Airport. Screaming!

BUT perfectly enjoyable!

Have played Pierce Lake multiple times in the past but this was the first time this year and I can say that the course was in great shape. Since we played on a Thursday, the pace of play was great. The two of us finished in a little over 3 hours. The layout of the course is challenging because you're always playing between the trees. Even though the fairways are wide, the trees give you a feeling of being really narrow. Other then the few ball marks that people did not fix on the greens, overall the course is in super condition.

We golf nearly every day and make it a habit to visit other courses at least once per week. Pierce Lake did not disappoint! Great views, carpet like tee boxes, wildlife abounds. Even treated to fly over by Blue Angels while playing.

While we normally walk and carry clubs, this course did have some holes that were far apart, not suitable to carry clubs.

Still...a friendly course where you choose your level of difficulty.

Pretty day on a nice golf course with nothing but friendly employees and staff to make it a perfect day at Pierce Lake Golf Course.

It is a "friendly course" and designed to meet your skill level at the Black, Gold, Blue, White, or Red tees.

Course was excellent except there are numerous blind shots with no notice that a drop area is available on the other side of the hazard; such would speed up play and eliminate provisional shot time. Drop area notices should be by the regular tees.
