Fern Hill Golf & Country Club

The course needs a range out because the pace of play is pretty slow you have golfers out there that takes advantage of a ranger not being out there. The last time I play there was a foursomes in front of us and they were playing at a very slow pace we were waiting every hole to the point of us almost leaving and that happens every time we play there I would play there more often if the pace was better

Course was descent. Price was $5 less if you played 9 holes versus 18. Back 9 was flooded and not available.

Booked Tee time for 18 holes. We we arrived we were told the back 9 was flooded but if we wanted we could shoot the front 9 twice. We decided to just golf 9 and the biggest thing was it was $5 less than shooting 18 holes. Course was fine and would go back again under Duffy circumstances.

Good course fairways were maintained well very thick rough greens were quite dirty however also had a pair in front of us threaten to snap our clubs for hitting 40 yards from them so that was unpleasant. Cart girl was great don’t remember her name

The club house is very nice and clean.. the course was a little confusing with most tee boxes “under construction “ so you tee’d off in a random spot. The back started off very wet but prolly do to the river flooding . I would play again .

Fern Hill was in exceptional shape this spring. Great job to the keepers for the care taken during the offseason and early season, to get the track back in good shape. Though, the tee boxes could use some work, and were in need of moving. I've played this course many times over the years, and it has always been a great course, especially for the price. Pace of play was ok, but I'm a hacker, along with most I play with, so a good twosome may feel slowed down. Great course for beginners, but still has some challenges for longer hitters off the tee. Longer players will have to use course management.

We had some inconsiderate people behind us

that were shooting up on us which in turn soured the round. Thought of saying something to them but didn't go golfing to have a confrontation.

Great course for the money. Greens were in great condition, can't say the same for some of the tee boxes. The short par 3 tee boxes were basically dirt and super hard. Couldn't play of the deck, a d couldn't get a tee into the ground. Fairways were a good shape but could use a bit more definition between fairway and rough.

Nothing special here, just a good old fashioned course. Mostly flat, tree lined with some dog legs and a creek that comes into play on many holes. Greens are in great shape. Only 5700 yards so most holes are reasonable for the average golfer. Definitely worth the Golfnow price.

Decent course, in decent shape overall. Played a morning round and the sprinklers were on for several holes, which ruined my pace of play.

Played only 9 as my 7 year old grandson played with us. When iI called about booking, I was told to just pay for 3 and my grandson could play with us. When we got to the course, I was told that he couldn’t play for free. No problem paying, just two different messages. Other then that, course was in good shape and pace of play was good. Grandson hit them good as well.

Have enjoyed playing here over the years as I live just up the road. First time here this year and the fairways were in the worst condition I have ever seen. Way to much dead grass/dirt fairway, play was better from the rough much of the time. Bug Problem/Lack of water? Not sure, but much work is needed. As always, staff was very friendly, course layout is challenging and pace of play was very good. I usual play this course 2 or 3 times a year. i will not go back. Front nine isn't too bad, back nine is nasty, you are better off too play out of the rough. It looks like they are forgetting too move the markers on the tee boxes, all tore up, looks like they have been teeing off from that spot for over a month.

Course was just challenging enough. There was no waiting so it was a pleasure to play.
