Fern Hill Golf & Country Club

The course itself is the shortest course I have yet played in. Overall, it was in good shape. For a first timer, signs could be better. Once you pull in to the parking lot, the clubhouse is in the back.

One main issue for me is that in a few holes, they had their sprinkler system on. In the middle of the fairway. On 12-13th hole, as I was sitting in the fairway, it just came on and I got soaked. My clubs, phone, cart, everything.

The staff was incredible and the ranger went out of his way to retrieve a couple of my list golf balls without asking! There’s a couple holes that are very difficult to hit a nice shot on due to some trees being too close to the tee. Other than that it’s a fairly challenging course that has a little bit of everything. Nice place overall!!

Course is in great shape, back 9 was closed because of water so the front was slammed. They should have spaced tee times a little better. We only played 11 holes and left because of the 30 minute wait.

The course was in great shape. Even though we haven’t had much rain lately, the course was lush and very nice. The pace was great and we just kept moving along.

This is a fun course for the money. If you can get a Hot deal it’s an EXCELLENT course for the money. It’s my 1st choice of all the courses in the neighborhood.

You have to play this course to learn how to play it, like any other course. It has is good points and maybe some bad points. Pace of play was OK, but I do not play on the week ends, only during the week.

After you have to try the "FLOOD" great food.

I played as a two some and teed off about 20 minutes behind the two some ahead of us. We caught up to the two some on hole 2. There was a 4 some ahead of the two some who averaged about 20 minutes a hole. There was no ranger helping with pace of play. Finished 9 holes after 3 and a half hours. Totally unacceptable! We sat at the tee on hole 10 for about 10 minutes with the two some ahead of us because of people on the green. A ranger eventually came walking down the fairway from the green, and told us to skip to hole 11 due to a wedding. We were never told about this wedding when booking our round. We decided we had had enough and went to the clubhouse for a refund. They would not refund our round, but instead gave us a raincheck. This was a pointless raincheck, since we will never go back. Very short par fours and poor dangerous layout. On a busy day you really have to keep your wits about you to avoid being hit. Nice staff, but overall i would not recommend this course.

Lots of hazards tight fairways , water to can not wait to play there again this weekend !!
