Golfer Reviews
Great
First time playing staff was great. Lay out was awesome beer cart out and about. Clubhouse was spectacular. Will play again soon.
Mind. Blown.
Complete facility overhaul. Awesome layout of clubhouse. Practice area is too notch. Then you go to play the course and it’s in the most pristine tournament ready condition. Offering up to 7,298 yards from the tips. We decided to challenge ourselves and play from the Golds around 6900 yards. The course layout is phenomenal. Be ready to play a 5 hour round in a 4some and that’s steady play not being held up be nobody. It’s that hard. The greens are unbelievable running around an 11 maybe faster as the day gets warmer. So you’re taking your time reading these putts and trying to get a nice GIR but it’s near impossible. Have fun out there and bring your A+ game because friends you will need it!
Better Yet
The course was in great shape! More improvements under way that is going to make the experience even better yet.
This course is tuff
I would say that this course is kept up as well if not better than any public course in Genesee county. And by far the toughest public course in Genesee county. Not pricey good bang for your buck
Course has always been a gem. The new renovation to clubhouse is awesome.
Sugarbush in gale force winds
Tough windy day at Sugarbush today (40 mpg gusts from the south; approx 1/2 (less) holes into the teeth). Course is in decent shape this early in the season. I’ve played it before and on a hot deal you can not go wrong here. Can play long from the tip, but it’s fair. Nice carts, full GRASS range and several practice green round this place off.
The new simulator bays in the bar area look amazing. I’ll be booking some time soon.
We also had lunch. Food is above average and priced correctly; service is good as well.
All in all if it wasn’t a hour drive for me I’d play this weekly.
The Bush
Love this course, overall course in great condition, greens are really nice, staff is friendly as always. I would highly recommend this course. Also have a bonus with seeing a lot of wild life.
Sugarbush WOW
Great course. Excellent condition.
New clubhouse and simulators are outstanding
A must play.
Sugarbush fall
Played here a couple months ago and thought it was a great course with the only improvement area in the “pace of play”. Today my wife and I played and the course was it GREAT shape for this late in the season! Wife loved the colors on the trees, I liked that the greens rolled true. Didn’t seem too busy, and we played 18 in less than 4 hours. Caught up to a 4 some around the 6th and just played behind them the whole time. Sugarbush had a wedding reception going on today and everything looked beautiful. Clubhouse is newly renovated, new golf carts, re-doing a few tee boxes... these guys are putting money into the place, and I’ll be eager to see how it looks next year too! We’ll be back!
Sugarbush...How sweet it is
I'm so jealous of my fellow golfers that live near this awesome course. If I didn't live an hour away I would try to play here all the time. The clubhouse is nothing short of incredible. To top it off the beautiful electric carts have automatic parking brakes, super cool.
Very Impressive
I last played this course probably a decade ago and while I enjoyed it then I was blown away by the changes made since. The clubhouse is still undergoing some renovations, but what has been completed is very impressive including a series of golf simulators. The course itself was in fantastic shape in spite of preparing the grounds for fall/winter. It plays long, and you do have to hit your shots, but I wouldn’t consider it unfair for your average weekend hack while probably being rewarding for your scratch golfers as well (admittedly I have no idea what being a scratch golfer is like). The carts are fantastic, the staff was all very attentive and welcoming, and I am really looking forward to playing here again next season (hopefully without a global pandemic still lingering over our heads).
