Twin Birch Golf Club
About
The beautiful setting of Twin Birch Golf Club in Kalkaska features stands of red pine and birch trees lining the fairways and the Boardman River, which winds its way all throughout the course. The golf course is mostly flat with the exception of a few raised greens on the back nine. The greens on the front nine are level with open fronts, inviting players to attach the flags. There are ample landing zones along the tree-lined fairways, making Twin Birch a golf course that will appeal to beginners and high handicappers but there are still challenges in store for the more advanced golfers as well. Some of the doglegs holes can be quite tricky. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along some of the greensides and water comes into play on eight holes.

Nice course
Fantastic price! Greens were fantastic, not extremely long, lot of irons off tee shots, and fairly narrow on few holes. At the price I paid $14 it was more than a great deal!!
Tight fairways....
Greens & fairways in great shape, hole are short but tight ( tree lined ) no food/bev cart only snacks avail at club house....
Nice course
Nice wide fairways in great condition. Great value.
Nice quiet course
I'll go again
Nice in a beautiful stream running through it. There's a couple of my balls in it. Great course for my budget.
Very nice! Excellent value!
Very nice course! New Owners are keeping it in great shape! Greens were some of the best I've played. Food and service were very good.
Staff that handle tee times
Staff that handled our tee times were extremely rude. I didn't know anything about this website ( golf advisor) I explained when I went in I was trying to get the tee time for 12:20 for $12.00. She very rudely stated we don't do that! The only reason why I found out about this website is by asking more questions. Also a young lady was sitting there helping me to get the number to call.
Great Value and Great People
I was able to take my 6 year old son to play a round at a great price. The staff and locals were very nice to us. Great stop on the way to Traverse City. Worth the time and money.
Good course / bad representation
This is the second time I have played this course... The carts are nice n clean course was nice.. Staff the second time there seemed even less friendly? My cart seemed to slow down very bad by hole 14...thought that was weird but o well....
By hole 16 it was dead.. Had to call the club house to get a new one... Never once did anyone say they were sorry ... Ok... Maybe there are busy... So about 15 minutes later, a lady brought us out a new one.... Not only did she never apologize , she acted like it was a HUGE inconvenience to bring us a new cart....
I'm sorry , your cart died on me in the middle of a game.... I wound not go back
nice local course, away from the hubbub of big city life
the course was in excellent shape, especially the greens compared to what I had played in northern Michigan so far. The holes are not as easy as they look, placement off the tee is very important. Very nice local course, away from all the hubbub of Traverse City. Staff were very friendly, Holes were lengthy enough to be a little challenge from the womens tees, but not too long. Would highly recommend.
the coarse was nice, the pro shop attendent was unfriendly.

Enjoyable play - great value!
I have played Twin Birch 2-3 times this summer; each time, the course has been in great shape and the round has proceeded without delays. Overall, a very nice course and the Golf Now prices make play there a great value!
didn't expect much, but it gave MUCH more.
This course sits just a few minutes East of Downtown Kalkaska, the area is know for its rolling hills and beautiful vista's. The course itself is relatively flat, easily walkable if desired with few well placed bunkers but nothing to worry about. Also it has a portion of the Boardman river than runs through a course on a couple holes, guess i should have laid up, wouldn't have lost a ball there! actually I lost four balls total and still managed to scored a 45 front and 47 back, thats where I lost three of them. though to my desire, I did play the blue tees. Each hole is nicely sucluded which is a plus, and the greens played true anf fast. Anyone playing this course will enjoy the time spent and for the cost thru golf now, it was a STEAL !! I'm still looking over my shoulder, lol
Really nice shape
The greens and fairways were in great shape this year
We enjoyed our round
Need more golf balls
Nice course. Narrow fairways lined with heavy brush and trees make this course difficult to play without going through a few sleeves of golf balls. What you save on a tee time you spend on lost balls. But you may also find someone else lost golf balls. Good luck.
Great features. River and woods. Friendly Staff
Just challenging enough for an afternoon of up-north golf. Tree lined fairways, challenging "shot placement" holes. North branch of Boardman river sneaks through course.
Really nice, accessible course.
We enjoyed this course at an early tee-off. Wonderfully maintained, we had no one behind us and thoroughly enjoyed our day. Only problem was the water jugs were empty.
very nice
very nice course lots of dog legs still use your driver greens well cap I recommend this course to everyone thank you
Great Course, Freindly people, No Back ups!
20 minutes from Traverse City, No crowds. The course was in great shape. The greens rolled true and the fairways were lush. Nothin' but good to say for this course.
