About
Golden Hawk Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Casco Township, which is just south of Richmond. You won't find too many elevation changes throughout the course but you will encounter plenty of water. There are also 36 bunkers coming into play on 12 holes. The course isn't particularly long at 6,117 yards from the back tees, but the par 4s offers some good length and the ample room off the fairways gives the course a spacious feel. The fairways are generous and quite forgiving, but golfers will face tough approaches to the greens, which are often nestled into the woods or bordered by ponds. The slightly elevated, undulating putting surfaces require accuracy. Golden Hawk Golf Club is a fair test but it's player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Course was in good shape for time of year

Fast pace of play during the week.

Fall Golf
Played Golden Hawk Tueaday Morning haven't played there this year I remember it being slow and not In great shape tee boxes are horrible irrigation was recently done so the greens were filled with sand. Something they didn't mention at check in.
This was once a great place to place its sad to see This is where it ended up.

Needs a Ranger
More than a 5 hour round. At one point there were three groups waiting on the tee with one group on the fairway and one group on the green. Very frustrating!

If you like putting on the beach
The course should have been advertised that the course was going through a winterization. The entire front 9 holes had been aerated and sanded. The back 9 was in fantastic shape.

Unable to play
Normally this is a good course but this time they closed the front nine unknown to us which was paid in advance plus we have to drive 35 minutes to get their. So you have to play the same 9 again which caused a major problem and backed up was so bad we quit because they were still letting people out plus the people coming around to finish there 18. Totally messed up. We could of played somewhere else if we knew especially because golf days are limited in Michigan. Very disappointed.
Need A Ranger
This course needs a ranger to keep the slow players moving. I have never played here when I didn't have to wait on every tee for at least 4-5 minutes. Then, wait on every shot thereafter. Please get an enforcer out there!

Better than last year
Course is in better shape than the last time we played . Pace of play was excellent. !8 holes in 3 1/2 hours
Great Course
My favorite course in the area. Great course for any golfer. Multiple tee box options, fairways and greens in good shape.
Would recommend to anyone.
GOOD VALUE
Golden Hawk Golf Course in Casco Twp is a 18 Hole Par 71 course that is 6202 yards from the tips. It features a few holes with water and some with marsh areas. Ball positioning is key on many holes here to have a good sight of the green. Being on the wrong side of the fairway will have you laying up to see the green with the trees.
Overall the course was good shape. The greens had lots of unkept ball marks thanks to ignorant golfers who don't fix their pitch marks. There was only 1 green that had actual bad spots on it because of shade causing mold to grow on it.
At $35 for 18 with a cart it's a solid price for a decent round.
The only downside is they stack tee times really tight together and will send people off the back 9 causing you to back log and prolong your round. Other than that I'd recommend checking it out.
