Golden Hawk Golf Club
About
Golden Hawk Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Casco Township, which is just south of Richmond. You won't find too many elevation changes throughout the course but you will encounter plenty of water. There are also 36 bunkers coming into play on 12 holes. The course isn't particularly long at 6,117 yards from the back tees, but the par 4s offers some good length and the ample room off the fairways gives the course a spacious feel. The fairways are generous and quite forgiving, but golfers will face tough approaches to the greens, which are often nestled into the woods or bordered by ponds. The slightly elevated, undulating putting surfaces require accuracy. Golden Hawk Golf Club is a fair test but it's player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Come on Golden Hawk!
Fairways and Greens are all jacked up and patchy. Cart paths are wrecked. Bunkers are holding a lot of water and it didn’t rain. Golf carts are showing their age, all of them are missing windshields and have been for a while. Owners are neglecting a solid golf course. What a shame.
Great Round
Always fun playing here with no complaints. Got there super early and they let my friend and I be the first ones off. We got so far ahead of the 4-some behind us the ranger allowed us to play slower and play two balls a player. Some greens showed some weather damage and one hole was under construction but the course was in great condition regardless.
Pretty good. Give it a try
I arrived at the tees right at my scheduled Tee Time. There were five groups of golfers waiting on the tees ahead of us. My group had to wait 15-25 minutes to be able to tee off. But then after we got off, it was nice.
Decent course
Decent course overall, and in fairly good shape. Only real issue was they sent a kid around on a golf cart telling everyone they were on their last hole... the sun was still up. We paid for 18, and they wanted us to stop after 15. I've never been kicked off a course early when there was plenty of light left.
Out tee time was at 12:24. We finally got off a CART at 1:30. Then on 1st hole a backup. One hour and 15 minutes PAST our tee time and first drive. Total round 6 hours+. Course has declined badly. Greens burnt our and bare on several holes and bunkers were MUD. WON'T BE BACK. The course should have offered us everyone that was waiting for 1 cart coming back every 15 minutes. SMH
Carts
They were overbooked and had to wait 40 minutes to get a cart
It is what it is.
The only complaint I have is the narrow margins of tee off times... Every 4 minutes is a little much...
We had a 10:32am tee time. We didn't tee off until after 11:00am. The line-up of carts on hole #1 looked like a parade.
DO NOT GO
Paid for 18 holes but left after the front 9 due to slow play. Took us almost 4 hours to play the front 9. Even if pace of play was decent the course was mediocre at best. NOT WORTH IT. GO ELSEWHERE
Slow play should be out lawed
I think before any golf course lets people play any more than nine holes, they should be timed on every hole. This golf course needs a ranger to keep the slow players from holding up everyone behind them. It should never take over 5 hours to play 18 holes like it did yesterday.
Gone downhill
I have played Golden Hawk for about 20 years, and today may have been the last time my group and I play there. Sunday morning tee time. No rangers on the course. On the front 9, stuck behind a 5some, on the back a pseudo 6some. The pace of play was atrocious. The course was in terrible shape. There may have been a spot or two that caught some disease and I forgive that. Many other places were torn up and burned out due to neglect. If that is new management, they have done a horrible job of placing capable on site personnel.
Course conditions
Cart paths in poor shape, greens even worse. No way worth the money.
Beautiful day with the Mrs.
Very nice course and is bouncing back well from Covid conditions! Met some great people playing the course!
Extreme Delay Almost Every Hole
Course condition was overal moderate at best with many patches of puddles or dried-up grasses. Even worse was the extremely long wait at each hole...in one hole, there was a backlog of 3 groups...called the proshop but no remedy...saw a ranger at the start (hole #1), but the ranger should have been rounding the course instead...could have helped players enjoy the game instead of waiting.
