Golden Hawk Golf Club
About
Golden Hawk Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Casco Township, which is just south of Richmond. You won't find too many elevation changes throughout the course but you will encounter plenty of water. There are also 36 bunkers coming into play on 12 holes. The course isn't particularly long at 6,117 yards from the back tees, but the par 4s offers some good length and the ample room off the fairways gives the course a spacious feel. The fairways are generous and quite forgiving, but golfers will face tough approaches to the greens, which are often nestled into the woods or bordered by ponds. The slightly elevated, undulating putting surfaces require accuracy. Golden Hawk Golf Club is a fair test but it's player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

By par the nicest course in the area at a bargain cost per round
Absolutely love this course and the staff , tee times are spot on and yesterday's rain delays promptly had the course team calling customers to choose whether to take a rain check or tee time push ... I opted for the push and went off 1.5 hours after my original scheduled tee time . Even with mother nature hit in the morning the wife and I played a solid 18 and I even pared on 17 with a 61 ft chip just off the left front of the green . Just a fun and relaxing round to make a long work week disappear. Can't wait to book next week's tee time !!
Needs a ranger to patrol the course
Needs a more effective ranger who will tell the slow players to speed it up. There was only a threesome and 2 twosomes in front of my twosome and it took almost 5 1/2 hours to play.
Great place to hit the clubs!
I thought the course was excellent. Well maintained and challenging and stunning. The club house is spectacular as is the staff. The bar and restaurant were very nice as well. Overall experience was top notch and enjoyable.
Slow play
I had 11:48 tee time and didn’t tee off until 12:26. Several 4some groups using back tee box and couldn’t hit the ball past 100yards, if they did it was sliced.
Nice place, nice course
Very friendly staff and other players. Really nice layout and great location near the highway but feeling remote. Nice driving range too. A+
Disappointed in the conditions
Greens were the biggest disappointment. Very bumpy and chewed up. There was only a couple that were nice. The fairways were also beat up with alot of dead spots. The pace of play was super slow, not fun on a cold day. I'd wait a few months before considering coming back. Maybe they need time to improve the grounds.
Slo
Slow play, waited on every tee and four groups waiting to start the back nine. Took 5+ hours to play.
Slow greens, the course was wet so I get the situation and at least carts were allowed with caution on the fairways. But an elevated green could be cut, I would think.
Great price and place to play
Fully booked course on the first nice Friday of the year. My 3 some got paired with a random and we still were done in 4 hours flat. Didn't have to wait at every tee box or anything like that. Great job by the marshall and staff. Course always kept up well and prices are very affordable. My go to place to golf.
